(CNN) -- Hip-hop artist Antwan "Big Boi" Patton faces several drug charges after Miami police arrested him Sunday, according to booking information posted on the Miami-Dade jail website.

Patton was charged with illegal possession of Viagra and Ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and drug paraphernalia with intent to use, the website said. Bonds totalling $16,000 were set, the site said.

Patton, 36, is half of the Atlanta-based hip-hop duo Outkast.

Honestly this will prolly help him sell records (not that he needs help) nothing better for a rap career then street cred. I saw him at Bonnaroo he put on a great show.

^I saw him for a little while. I was thinking about that actually. At first I forgot he was famous and thought wow, I got to see one of his last shows but then I realized celebrities poop on the law for the most part.

He shoulda finished that shit on the cruise..everyone knows you dont bring drugs OFF the boat

I bet he's not even that Big of a Boi. He was probably running a pregnant-woman-style smuggling game- but judging by the bail bonds they didn't catch on to his belly stash. A hundred pounds or more, running at 15-25 dollars a point? Holy shit. He'd be in so far over his head...

On a serious note- poor guy. I hate seeing probably-good people getting caught up with possession charges. And intent to use? What is this? 1984?

how do you get arrested for viagra?

i mean i know its an rx drug and if u dont have n rx then that has the possibility of happening

but viagra is sold all over the internet without prescriptions

wierd

good ol sextasy

The kids who were born in 1984 have [mostly] grown up by now, but unfortunately our litigation has mostly not.

I was referring to the 1948 novel (which takes place, as the name states, in 1984) in which the "Thought Police" punish citizens of Oceania for supposedly thinking of committing crimes.
But you're totally right about our litigation- if anything, it is turning INTO 1984 (the book).

Big Boi's 2010 album was one of my fave rap albums of the year (along with the Roots). Highly underrated considering all the Lil' Waynes and Waka Flockas out there...
