Covid-19 Outbreak of new SARS-like coronavirus (Covid-19)

it may drop a bit but the trend is baked in IMHO. wait and ride the momnetum then cash out.

I really doubt it. Lockdowns being extended worldwide and more companies are furloughing more of their staff, I can't imagine many businesses suddenly recovering in the short-term. News is still talking about hospitalisations and death constantly which itself reduces confidence in the market. I think it'll be a bear market for a few months at least.

that's the beauty of the whole thing, a bunch of independent possibly rational actors taking positions, As a matter of principle I don't short trade anymore, it feels wrong and I don't do debt, so I will be trading on the up tick, taking the feds money, and locking in the gains.
Share prices and valuations are totally disconnected. none of the earnings figures stand scrutiny and haven't even come close since the hidden recession of 2014 so for about 5 years, non GAAP adjusted is a polite way of saying fuck you we are financial engineering the crap out of this mother and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

They might not even know what they're dealing with. How overcrowded are they compared to normal?

They have tent sites and 75 ice trucks that they are throwing bodies in. They have mass graves for the unidentified. I don't have any specific #'s but my sister is a travel nurse, who has worked from LA to Queens and she has never seen anything close to what is happening.

She knows what she is dealing with my man. She is the front of the front line. RNs are doing most front line work now a days and the doctors just come in and look at charts or deal with emergency situations.

Yeah I don't believe you. You've talked a lot of shit in the past. I'd have to see some sort of evidence.

Because the video footage I've seen shows quiet hospitals. So there should be some footage of that on twitter at least.

“This is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States should be worried about right now,” Dr. Fauci told Newsmax’s Greg Kelly on January 21.

Talked a lot of shit? Look... I've no reason to lie to you nor my sister to me. Only passing on an anecdote. You can ignore what doesn't fit your narrative as you always do. That is your choice.

I don't live in NYC that's why I check twitter and the #filmyourhospital tag. I get that medical professionals are not allowed to film but considering how allegedly serious this is and allegedly thousands of bodies are being thrown into ice trucks and mass graves.... well it should be easy to get some proof,

Covid-19 had us all fooled, but now we might have finally found its secret.
This seems to back up what that NYC ICU doctor in the video was saying.

The U.S. has surpassed Italy and now has the largest number of COVID-19 fatalities.
I wonder how that compares to standard influenza deaths and overall mortality.

With a population as large as the US would one not expect to at least match Italy's fatality rates?
Perhaps I'm not as surprised as you. In fact I'm surprised it's not much worse. Let's hope this continues to be true.

It has, just today according to the news.

It has to be noted though that a lot of factors influence these statistics. Particularly quality and quantity of testing.

Didn't think I'd agree with a NYT reporter for a while

1/ I try to analyze dispassionately. But I will admit I am ANGRY about the way we have largely ignored the massive harm lockdowns and school closings have on kids. Remember: anyone under 30 is at almost ZERO risk here (there are always outliers; planes crash but flying is safe).

2/ Children, more than anyone else, suffer immediately from the lockdowns. They're denied school. They’re denied normal socializing with their friends. In many places they have even - bizarrely - been denied the chance to play outside.

3/ The stress even on healthy families is incredible. And for children in troubled families, the cost is far higher; for those kids, schools may well be the only chance they have to be seen every day by an adult who is not high or abusive.

4/ Of all the choices we’ve made, sacrificing the mental health of children at zero risk from this illness is the LEAST acceptable. But so many in the media are young and don’t have children, or perhaps are married couples with one child (an equation that makes care easier).

5/ At the very least, the media needs to STOP presenting a hugely misleading (to be polite - fictional would be more accurate) picture of the mortality risks associated with #COVID so that parents will let their kids play together outside. That would be a tiny step toward sanity.
