Covid-19 Outbreak of new SARS-like coronavirus (Covid-19)

Senator Daniel K. Inouye said:
"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of the national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself."
Inouye was the highest ranking Asian-American politician in United States history, serving the democratic party from 1963 until his death in 2012. In the above quote he was speaking in 1987 as the Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Secret Military Assistance to Iran and the Nicaraguan Opposition, which held public hearings on the Iran-Contra affair.

Apparently domestic violence is up during all this lockdown/martial law stuff, but this takes it to a whole other level.
They'll probably use this to try and restrict/ban the sales of guns.
At the exact same time a tyrannical government is in full effect.
How about that 2A?
9/11 repurcussions were pretty nasty, but this is some 1984 shit. Not that we had much privacy left anyways, but c'mon, makes me wanna hammer my phone.
But it's for your safety bro. Just like the Patriot Act-increased surveillance was for our safety against muh Muslim terrorists.
But this time muh enemy is invisible and could come and get us all at any moment! So we need to implement complete surveillance and restrict freedom of movement...... for our safety.

Have you been within 6 feet of them for more than half a second?

If so you're likely exposed and quitting now may just financially harm you.

You can always call in sick and get sick hours ... then again two weeks might fly by, they may just be in drug withdrawal and you won't have sick hours later.

I can't really tell you what to do. Is your job worth it?
So boss sent me a text and said that now we (as in me) will have to start screening patients for covid19 when we discharge them from detox.
So il have to take their temperature, and have them fill out a paper, that pretty much asks if they been to China or have been running a fever.
To be honest I don't feel comfortable doing it because like I mentioned earlier we lack safety gear, and when taking someones temperature you have to be alot closer then 6 feet.
If I say anything about it as in it's not safe then there is a chance where I could lose my job for lack of work(forgot the term, begins with the letter I).
So it is a difficult situation.
I don't understand why some people at my job can work from home and get paid, while others have to work on the front lines and not make any hazzard type of pay. Really fucked up.

HOW VERY CONVENIENT (for people who don't like protests)

Just make out you caught it and 'isolate' yourself ;)

They didn't even have it, damn.

Overhere there's talks about a government corona app which tracks you 24/7, just to see if you potentially come or have come into contact with a rona victim. Places where it's been rolled out voluntarily people apparently don't use it enough to be statistically significant, so they're thinking about making it mandatory.

Loving the pic mate hehehe

Don't Believe Everything You Read About Flu Deaths (Huffpost - 2014)

Montana physician Dr. Annie Bukacek discusses how COVID 19 death certificates are being manipulated

As I've been saying, repeatedly: doctors who fill out death certificates traditionally DO NOT KNOW the exact cause of death and essentially give their best educated GUESS. There is a very good reason for this: the exact cause of death in most cases is very difficult to determine.

NOW, however, the WHO and CDC have given complete clarity to doctors around the world by telling them that they SHOULD use the code for Covid-19 when any person under their care dies with symptoms that could be construed as 'covid-19'. This is DESPITE the fact that the vast majority of people dying "with covid-19" have SERIOUS UNDERLYING CHRONIC CONDITIONS THAT ARE THE OBVIOUS AND REAL CAUSE OF DEATH.

In such cases, a flu-like illnesses never has, and never should, be recorded as the official cause of death.
Again. This is the reason for the "pandemic numbers". There is the reason for the lock downs. That is to say, a BOGUS reason.
Wow the last two paragraphs are quite interesting to say the least you might be on to something

I'll know if your right when tomorrow is says "Jgrimez has passed away from covid 19" it will be like that Chinese doctor bloke all over again me, I don't know shit I just talk big

where's that? London?
lol Paris.
Notice the French flag and everyone wearing yellow vests (gilet jaunes)

I'm not worried about this virus personally. I'm on the ketogenic diet (and have been for almost a decade), I supplement Vit C, bicarb soda and smoke additive-free tobacco.
I'm much more concerned about the health impacts of 5G for example and if they will try to force me to take their upcoming vaccine.

Social distancing road rage incident in Sherbrooke
A Walmart employee from the Galeries Quatre Saisons location is in critical condition after being struck by a car driven by a man who was frustrated by social distancing measures when he tried to enter the store.

^What do you call it when the government forces millions of small businesses to close, millions of people lose jobs, millions of working-class people lose hours & salary percentage — & Amazon, led by the richest man in the country — expands?

Why would they use Vitamin C as the “placebo” when it’s being used as a treatment? BAD SCIENCE!!

Hydration Game: Take a sip of water for every connection you can find that Dr. Fauci & Dr. Birx have to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & The United Nations. Your thirst will be beyond quenched. Conflict of interest is an understatement.

No one is gonna force you to take a vaccine dude
What if they say people cannot travel on airplanes if they haven't been vaccinated? No entry into sporting events? No respite from the lockdowns until vaccinated?

We're not going to "force" you - just make your life unbearable if you don't play ball.
It's how they coerce parents to vaccinate their children.

Crony capitalism.

In national socialism, something like this would happen but millions of people would get employed vs. unemployed, but work less hours vs. 40+ hours/week. The gov't pillages other nations to bankroll the military industrial complex and pad its own pockets.

In communism, you're going to have everyone work and contribute but the people and its efforts, products, and services, their very beings become what itself pad the pockets of the communist state. People do not want this, they are willing to fight and die or tacitly support the military industrial complex, or work themselves to a premature death 40, 60 + hours per week to avoid being a whore for the state. The illusion of control is real when you realize the same efforts still don't really go to you, and it tacitly loses importance which direction you piss into the wind...

What would you call it?

Exchange between two friends:

1. Has anyone else noticed that the people who believe the government has their best interests at heart with this worldwide home detention thing, WILL NOT look at facts anymore?

You can do simple maths with death rates from heart disease and pnuemonia dropping with every rise in corona deaths, that is, show that there are no more deaths from corona than there used to be from other causes. Then show them how the CDC and other government health organisations' policies show that they are ACTUALLY just renaming the causes of death FROM other types TO covid 19 (which is to say NOBODY IS DYING FROM COVID 19).... *deep breath* and their reply is "I don't see it like that."

What? 1+1 no longer equals two, people. We are not in Kansas anymore.

2. I've talked to people with PhD's involving a lot of mathematics. It's like they're hypnotised. They see the numbers, they see that a ratio X is smaller than a ratio Y, but since the media says Y is smaller than X then it must be it. Who are you to question TV experts? To me, these conversations left me with more of a sense of the bizarre than if say a UFO would land nearby and ETs were to disembark wearing clown masks. The corona thing doesn't kill, but the manufactured fear surely killed lots of brains. A zombie apocalypse.

Constitution Dies Of Coronavirus
Babylon Bee said:
WASHINGTON, D.C.—According to sources at the National Archives, doctors rushed the United States Constitution to the hospital and were forced to hook the document up to a ventilator after it began having trouble breathing Sunday afternoon.

The document reportedly slipped into a coma en route to the emergency room and was in critical condition for many hours. Doctors confirmed the worst: the founding document of our nation was infected with the novel coronavirus. Finally, surrounded by one or two mourners, as most people in Washington abandoned it a long time ago, it slipped away Sunday night.

"Between both political parties constantly trampling all over the Bill of Rights and stretching and distorting the Constitution for political gain whenever it's convenient, I just don't know how much more abuse it could have taken," said one doctor as he pronounced the Constitution's time of death: 20:20, ironically.

The 232-year-old Constitution has had its share of health scares, nearly being killed in the 1860s, the 1930s and 40s, and the early 2000s, but medical experts say this last crisis was just more than it could take.

"It had many underlying conditions, of course, already being incredibly sick with Obamacare, Obergefell, Roe v Wade, the Patriot Act, and many more diseases," said the doctor. "But it's still sad to see this old boy pass on."

The Constitution's close relatives, including the Declaration of Independence, simply asked for Americans to send "thoughts and prayers" during this time of mourning.

Is anyone else just tuning out the news by now? I'm a bit curious as to the psychological impact of Americans after Covid-19 has passed. Will any of their habits change? Prolly not if you're a U.S. citizen.

But one thing that bothers me about this Covid-19 mess is that we praise so highly our medical workers, while I have esteemed doctors for my entire life. So when I see on the news and they reiterate, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, doctors!" i'm like, "Yes, you gormless goobers!" I cannot tell you how many doctors I have visited that had just made me feel so incredibly dumb that I felt ashamed of myself. And I am dumb, but doctors capitalize on this so well when I speak to them, even when they are perfectly courteous. Their urbane is unsurpassed.

So in a pandemic governments should do nothing then?

I agree these things could be done, maybe some of them are in some places. But also, pandemics happen and governments have a moral obligation to minimize harm.

But it's lose-lose for governments in the eyes of those who believe this is a conspiracy, because when damage is minimized, it was proof it was staged. And if 20 million people end up dying because they did nothing, then they should have done something.

Why would governments want to wipe out millions of jobs, disrupt supply chains, and cause a global recession? Governments want us to be productive. Those in charge want their grunt workers to make them money.

To be honest here... I don't believe this whole thing is some big conspiracy. I think the facts as presented make enough sense that there's no need to look for ulterior motives. There was a virus outbreak in China due to poor hygiene in the markets, CCP covered it up to protect their reputation and economy, it turned out to be more severe than they thought so they were forced to let the world know. Now we're dealing with the consequences. Nothing in there sounds incredible to me. Sounds like what I would expect.

I do think, however, that there is a real danger of governments using this as an excuse for a power grab. Using a crisis as an excuse to increase their powers is exactly what governments love to do. Look at 9/11 and the Patriot Act.

Governments are granting themselves all these extra powers and promising they'll give them up when the pandemic is over. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. But I think it is perfectly reasonable to be concerned. It also worries me how quickly and happily the police have turned into the Stasi during all this. They're loving the power trip.

Definitely have to agree with this. I think it’s something that occurred and governments are using it as a test run for martial law. I honestly don’t think the level of isolation is needed for the amount of deaths that this virus is causing.
Governments are definitely taking the piss with social gatherings cancelled and what not. Like where I’m from you can’t go 2km from your house unless it’s for essential goods/medicine. That means I can’t go to the beach for a walk or surf even though there would be no other person on the beach I go to. How does that make sense?
Will see how Boris makes it out of this. I’m honestly wondering if he was really that unwell or he really needed ICU. I think it’s just propaganda.

Increasingly I find I just avoid ceps all together for this reason.

I don't think you should feel compelled to discuss or defend things you see that you don't agree with or think are illogical/extreme or need correcting Jess (and others), even if comments are directed at you and push your buttons. Just talk over/around stuff you don't like - as if it wasn't said - if you don't feel in the mood.

Doing this doesn't undermine the concept of conversation, since there are always multiple threads/strands of thought running through discussions anyway. Different people are naturally inclined to latch onto different ideas and authors, and will determine by their own logic what they believe is relevant or accurate.

what really sucks is there are companies/organizations (me working for one) where the 'essential' workers are on the front line busting ass to offer services and within the same company/etc. there are the 'blue collar' workers that get to stay home and collect the same if not more pay without having to do anything except maybe send an email, call people or zoom.
Especially for us workers that are deemed 'essential' and do not collect any type of hazard pay. but yet those that work for the same company get to stay home, save on gas, eat food instead of vending machine crap.

this is an interesting article:
Senate Democrats want to issue ‘hazard pay’ of up to $25K to grocery cashiers, transit operators and other essential workers
to me what it sounds like if your job is 'essential' for whatever it is, and you are like on the front lines and i am guessing not sitting at home in your robe and slippers zooming then you will get $25K. Atleast that is kind of what I am getting out of it, but i highly doubt I would see any of that money just because.

Kind of the one really shitty downside with working for a non-profit. you make shit pay, hardly get a raise and have to be on the front lines dealing with this stupid shit. :X

Niiiiiice.

Just found a Reddit link pertaining to the start of the outbreak

The food market at the centre of the outbreak admits to selling live koalas, snakes, rats, and wolves.

Not sure if it pertains to the spread of the virus but I notice it's an absolute shit year for koalas already.

Out of the fires and into the frying pans....

The corona virus is man made.

See my thread

Yeah it's true, I have no doubt the media is in a frenzy with fear porn, using our higher number to terrify people into clicking their links. It's simply a fact that what we need to be looking at is per-capita numbers, not overall numbers, because our population is vastly higher than the populations of almost every other country. Because of this I allow the possibility that our government is trying to inspire this fear for nefarious purposes, though I think it does 100% add up because I seriously doubt our government wants our economy to grind to a halt. I think it's more likely that the media is happily churning out this fear porn because it's profitable for them to do so, and the government is scrambling to figure out how to minimize the damage, while doing the responsible thing and trying to minimize loss of human life in a pandemic.

I do accept it's possible the government is testing out martial law or some other scheme to impose control, however if so, they're doing a terrible job at it... around where I live, businesses are ignoring the "essential business" order, there is just as much traffic as usual (according to my buddy who works in food service and commutes to work), and the police released a memo saying they do not intend on enforcing any rules but just hope people will follow them. It seems that some localities are being more draconian about it, but if the federal government intended on any of the more nefarious goals that are being suggested, they would not allow localities to decide for themselves, they would be enforcing it across the board.
