Woman who almost died after J&J vaccine stuck with $1 million in medical bills

As The Defender reported June 2, a 38-year-old woman who suffered multiple organ failure from J&J’s COVID vaccine said victims should be compensated by the government for taking the risk.

Kendra Lippy was diagnosed with severe blood clots resulting in 33 days of hospitalization. She suffered organ failure, and was left without most of her small intestine — and with crippling medical bills.

Lippy’s case was one of the six that led federal agencies to temporarily pause the J&J shot in mid-April.

Because the government shielded vaccine makers from liability, Lippy can’t sue J&J. She also doesn’t have a legitimate legal route to sue the government. The only current option for people who have suffered COVID vaccine injuries is the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), which turns down most applicants. Fewer than one in 10 people receive compensation after applying.

real cool

now you gotta pay the rest of your life for a stupid shot....how much regret does one get from that? i mean, you made the decision, there's nobody to blame but yourself...

but to add insult to it all, you gotta pay for that mistake - a lot - and you're not healthy anymore - just as another reminder

real fuckin cool

Yet Pfizer is been forced to issue a statement to the EU about heart infections in young men
source?

all i could find is an announcement from 3 days ago that this was being investigated as a possibility.

again, please compare the numbers for complications due to vaccines to those due to covid19- why do so many people in this thread go nuts about the former but dismiss the latter, despite the rates of the latter being many orders of magnitude higher.

because

you made the decision to get that shot....and when something goes wrong, you can only blame yourself for trusting the witch doctors, and you'll have a lifetime of regret because you've met so many people who only felt like shit for a few days when they caught covid, and they still have all of their intestines

i dunno mate my friend lost her 40 year old husband to covid (perfect health) within a couple of weeks of vaccines being made available to that age group. big regrets there, and over 2 million worldwide are grieving loved ones. most of them had no choice.
but to add insult to it all, you gotta pay for that mistake -
in the US you do cos you guys are getting fucked over on healthcare. not so much over here or in other developed countries, where universal healthcare is considered a no brainer.

ok i know somebody who died from it too....early on about a year ago.....big regrets where? disease happens...that's the world doing what it does

but when you injure somebody with a vaccine and hide it, that is nothing that the world is doing....that's jerkoffs in action

it's a god damn cold that rarely is serious, it isn't tetanus where you're fucked if you get it

deaths from vaccine preventable diseases shouldn't happen- he was eligible for the shot and didn't take it. now he's dead. i doubt he would be if he'd had it. 3 children under 10 have lost their dad. cos of fucking anti vax nonsense. and i'm sure on the scale of tragedies caused by this virus, that barely registers.

no one is hiding the vaccine injuries.

do you feel the same about people dying of polio, measles, etc? should we not have eradicated smallpox cos a tiny minority will have issues with the vaccines?

No because the smallpox vaccine was great

Measles shots im ok with too

Polio shot im thinking we can stop that for now, since their hasn't been a case of polio in the USA since 1979

Here's the thing too...at least now, if you end in the hospital because of covid, they know how to treat it

When you show up at the hospital and your doctor's office from a vaccine injury, they don't know what to do

The choice is yours

A 19 year old son in my circle of friends, had a heart attack and died 5 days after the 2nd covid shot

I also got another report from a friend who feels completely fatigued a month after the second shot and they don't know what's wrong

No they don’t. At least now we have some medicines, unlike when we first started treating COVID, but only marginally. If they knew how to treat it in any real way, we would have 0 deaths from COVID. Right now the best medicine is the vaccines. At least so far, they have been shown to be incredibly safe. And zero people that have had the vaccine have died from COVID. So far it’s incredibly good medicine.

That's not true. People have died with covid after getting the shot.

Tell the truth and tell the WHOLE story.

That's what's being avoided. They don't want people to tell the whole story. So they label them conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers.

Much easier to go that route isn't it

But you do admit that the vaccine works for preventing 99.999 percent of COVID deaths. There has only been a handful of people that have died worldwide of COVID after vaccination making it a statistically zero percentage chance for people to die from COVID once they are fully inoculated. That’s remarkablly rare for vaccines.

It's not true - so no I don't admit shit

it's not even a vaccine

how about that?

i know....everybody who suspects the shot killed anybody is an "anti-vaxxer"

so it's ethical to have some people die for the greater good of humanity

go ahead, tell me that next lol

I just dont handle vaccines super well my whole life but I still get them. If there's even a slight chance then I'm the most likely of population to have an adverse reaction. I could be one those 1 in 1 million unlucky folk. I at least want a imvesgtaion done to find who has a increased chance of having a bad response in israel half the people had underlying conditions which were worsened by it.

@TripSitterNZ

Don't get the vaccine if you are particularly susceptible to adverse reactions, but that has no bearing on whether or not it is (generally) safe to be vaccinated.

Personally, I've never had any issues with vaccines. I didn't have any issue with AstraZeneca. Going to have Pfizer in less than two weeks. I'm not worried. I would much rather have the vaccine than the virus.

@Mr. Krinkle

You said a couple of times it's unlikely that you will get the virus, but it's not going anywhere. This country can't stay locked down forever. If I don't keep up to date with my vaccinations, I will contract it eventually.

The main reason I want people to get vaccinated in Australia is this: the government will not go back to what life was like before the virus unless a large chunk of the population is vaccinated. I can kick and scream about that all I like. It doesn't change anything. That's reality.

So, since you think we need to lock down under martial law until the virus is gone, AND you don't think the vaccines are safe... what are you saying? Do we just huddle in our homes in fear until the virus somehow disappears?

Is that what i said? i say all kinds of shit sometimes so who knows

well...idk if it's going anywhere....probably not and then it's just gonna become like the common cold - isnt that the forecast right now?

we'll live

fuck the government pressuring anybody with their health - that's your own personal decision - you wanna get shot up, get shot up, but dont tell me to get shot up so i can just be part of the bigger plan

that's a bullshit ass excuse if ive heard one, birdup

i like you but you disappoint me with some things you say at times

if everybody had locked down from the start way less people would of died but ideally the Chinese wouldn't of lied and made sure they spread it to every corner of the earth first before telling anybody about it. I still believe in the vaccines but for a sub group of the population there is a higher risk associated with getting it that the pharma companies are not willing to take responability for or pay these people out
