Well being on subs for a few months and i'm currently at 8-12mg's a day. i have ran out early due to sharing with a pet. So i figure my appointment isn't untill the 26. This is a good time to let my bupe tolerance lower my basically cold turkeying myself for 4 days. Then getting my next script and being able to just treat myself with a 2mg dose. Maybe using this method is a good way to do a forced taper??? Anyone think this is a ok idea. I got in the meantime. 20 oxycodone 5/325's and a full bottle of tempezam to tide me over in case of withdraws getting shitty. : ' (
Also i was thinking instead of using anything like this maybe i should just switch over to drinking at night to just sorta keep my mind off it. So my question is what would you do? Take the percs for w/d's? Or what about drinking? When is it safe to have more then 1 drink after taking subs? I know it's a massive half life. But would it be cool to indulge in alcohol after 24 hours of no subs? How long is it after dosing bupe where alcohol can be consumed and enjoyed without bupe side effects...?

no perks, won't do much if anything , plus if your doc tests you may be in trouble.. do a taper, drink some at night w/ temezepam--at a normal dose 15-45-60 mg tops.. see if you can find a buddy who may have some subs you can 'borrow'

There are a lot of questions here about serious CNS depressants (opiates, benzos, and alcohol), and frankly I cannot answer many of the questions posed here, because I am not sure myself. I know you should not be sharing buprenorphine with your pet - esp. at anywhere near normal doses for opioid maintenance therapy. Dangerous, very dangerous. And, I advise you to stop that. As for the bupe itself, less is more when it comes to the euphoria with bupe. That is the general rule, even for those with LARGE opiate tolerances, 0.5 mg - 2 mg can be more rewarding than your usual daily dose, due to bupe's mechanism of action. If you want the bupe to feel stronger, do take less - just try, and you will see. Bupe doctors always over-rx bupe, and it is likely for a number or reasons, but they do. If wd's set in in the mean-time, not knowing the ins and outs of bupe wd's myself, I'd suggest NOT drinking at all - could be unsafe, lead you to a pattern of drinking, and/or make you more sick. Alcohol is never a good wd drug for an opioid - short half-life with high side-effect profile and high toxicity. I wouldn't play with the oxycodone, either. It would likely be a let down, even if the bupe has completely left your system, but at that dose I doubt it will clear out enough quickly, anyway, but it is moot as I said because of your sky-high tolerance due to doses of 8 - 12 mg bupe/day. And, the APAP would just hurt your liver badly at any dose even remotely near what could make you feel a little better. APAP is not good stuff, always CWE, not that I suggest using those Percocet, though. As for the temazepam, I think if you get to a point and you are feeling dope-sick and you know you need bupe but don't have any, you could take a modest dose of that to help you sleep. Just make sure it is a modest dose, because bupe will still be in your system, I can almost guarantee, even if you feel sick. Maybe 15 mg temazepam tops, if you don't take benzos regularly (on a daily basis), just to be safe. Even if it doesn't allow you to sleep easily, it will allow you to at least relax a bit more at nighttime, and improve any sleep that does come along. Just be safe. When you go back on bupe, I would suggest trying 1 mg under the tongue three times a day. If that just doesn't feel enough, try 1.5 mg 3 x daily, then up to 2 mg 3 x daily. Like I said, smaller doses are often more subjectively recreational.

The post above is not the best advice - mixing alcohol with 60 mg temazepam with a very potent opioid (bupe) still in your system is just not a good idea.

didnt mean to give bad advice taper your bupe then use the temezepam andpossibly alcohol if you feel funky you know your body better than anyone on this board .I did not mean gobble 60mgs of temaz and drink a fifth of whisky.. play it safe and make your self comfortable..

I ran out of my Norco 10/325 script a week early a few months ago. I took some Suboxone @ about 8mg's a day I had from an old script for 6 days in place of it. For 2 1/2 weeks back on the Norcos I had to take at least twice my daily dose to keep out of WD's from the Suboxone. So there I was all over again running out early. I was GLAD I went through the last of the Suboxone I had, or I would've used it once again.

I have an 11 day 1/2 life Suboxone chart I wish I could paste here. I think I got it from the Suboxone web site. It shows how it builds up in your system over a few days to over 40mg from 16mg a day and is still there 240 hours later.

From my experience for me from the Suboxone to the 20 Oxycodone you have would maybe keep me out of WD for probably 2 days. Then like already said, what happens if you get tested at your next appointment.
