Opioids Out of date morphine?

hey i have 1 20mg ir pill of morphine and 1 60mg sr pill, i found them at the bottom of a vase at my house coated in dust but still sealed in their wrapping un-damamged, i have no idea how old they are but could be 16 years old max (they may have been my grandads when he had cancer) how dangerous is it to consume out of date morphine, i tried looking on the foil the pills are in but they have been cut out of the main packet and i just have to little foil squares with a pill inside, does morphine break down into toxic substances after time.

has anyone else here taken out of date morpine pills?

also the pills have napp written on them, i assume that is the brand if thats relevant?

If they were stored at room temperature away from sunlight and humidity they should have all or most of their potency still. It is safe to take them (follow the same procedures and safety warnings you would for that respective dose of opiates, of course).

They may have lost some of their potency but are probably ok. Best bet is just discard them. Wouldnt want to end up getting sick just for a high.

also as far as getting the most out of them i was thinking of plugging them, what would be a nice strong but not vomiting dose plugged? 20mg ir? i get very confused about stregnth of doses between oral and anal administration.

Morphine doesn't break down into poison.

20mg plugged is a good dose, morphine is poorly absorbed orally and only sliglhtly better rectally.

Depends on your tolerance.

Rectal morphine is between 30-50% efficient, so that's an absorbed dose of 6-10mg, which is a good level for an opiate naive person. If you abuse other pain medications, weigh a lot, or have the wrong genetics your tolerance might be stronger.

pills hold there potency well because most of the good stuff is inside of the pill away from oxygen sunlight heat etc they will almost certainly be good... morphine taken through any route besides IV is weak, if you NEVER take opiates and are a smallish person 20mg rectal might produce some effects... If I was you I would use it oral, and maybe have some potentiators on hand incase you dont get anything

I would eat both the 20mg ir and the 60mg sr if I were u. I don't think this is that dangerous without a tolerance and should get you pretty fucking high like nodding out and shit.

I could be wrong though maybe 20 mg is enough for someone with no tolerance but it never was for me. Oral m is weak

About ten years ago, my friends & I found a little leather case in a friend's dead grandmother's attic. it contained a metal/glass syringe, and a glass tube with a cork in it, full of irregularly shaped white tablets, and a piece of tape across the side of the vial on which the word "Morphine" was hand-written in what appeared to be a fountain pen. No dosage information was present; no information aside from the word "Morphine" was present, for that matter. There was an accompanying vial that was exactly the same except that the label read "Atropine." I have no idea how old these things were, but I can guess that they were several decades old. Well, since neither I nor my friends were injecting at the time, we sniffed, smoked & ate the morphine pills, and proceeded to come dangerously close to an opiate overdose. So as long as the pills were kept dry & away from high temperatures or direct sunlight, they should still get you plenty high.
