out of date alprazolam

ok so i was taking 0.5mg xanax on a need when reqiured basis owing to panick attacks general anxiety... then i was put on ativan 1mg im still taking these now. but earler today givin my drawers a good ole clean out i found a some of the xanies from 2005 so there a good 10 yrs out of date im just wonderin will these still be any good / safe to take after all these years or should i take one an take a chance/risk or just bin them thanks in advance for any advice

probably shouldn't mix with ativan tho .....why is that there both benzoes i know ativan is.nt has hard hittin as alprazolam but since you say they should be ok i will pop one an maybe leave off the ativan for a dayZ

How they were stored can make a difference. I've had old diazepam and Xanax get soft and crumbly rendering them pretty useless after only a few years. But that was in an non-air conditioned Florida bathroom medicine cabinet. In a cool, dry, dark environment benzos and many other drugs can retain their effectiveness.

there was in the bottom drawer underneath paperback books an note pads so there were in darkness but my room does suffer with damp so not sure if that as seeped into airtight bottle
