so last night me and my buddys were drinking and just having a good time. It was about 10 oclock and one of my friends came over and ended up bringing some percocets.

its my first time taking percocets but iv smoke dmt and dropped plenty of acid befor i took three of them about a half an hour later was completly out of my body in a different world. One of the craziest expericences of my life.i would compare it to a dmt like trip.

does anybody know why percocets do this to people?
tell me about your trips.

Back in the heyday of my opiate use I would often had very vivid "daydreams" when I would nod. Perhaps that was what he experienced, because I certainly have had bizarre dreamlike experiences, only to open my eyes and realize I was nodding off. I could see how somebody with little experience with either opiates or psychedelics could consider them similar, but they were for me, radically different....

i think it was a combo of beer and percocet but still hard to fathom that intense but hey good for you!

Same here. Mid-nod I would hear voices of family members talking to me when they were clearly upstairs. It would sound like they were in my face, but when I sat up from my nod I was all alone in the house, completely.

^^ yep, I've heard voices/bits of conversation before. My nod-dreams were always really engaging and elaborate, all the good parts of vivid dreams with the added bonus of a lucidity that is often lacking in my dreams.

However, these experiences were never intense in the way that a DMT breakthrough would be, they were much more akin to daydreaming, whereas DMT breakthroughs have a much more obvious "this is happening NOW! pay the fuck attention to it!" quality to them. which is what leads me to think the OP doesn't have that much experience with DMT...

The very first time I took oxycodone, over twenty years ago, I had a similarly intense out of body experience. It was more akin to a disassociative like ketamine or dextromethorphan rather than DMT as you say. This was the first, and only time, that this ever happened. But thus began a 10 year opioid addiction, completely over running my interest in psychedelics. I began by trying to recapture that initial blissful experience, but soon got swept up beyond my control. Took oh so much work to return to my initial path of interest, but the perspective has been invaluable. Tread carefully. :/

cheers
