Actually I think the main reason we split off was more to do with cultural references. You didn't get our jokes, we didn't get yours. So not so much the inainity itself, but just the flavour of said vapidity (see above re: vegemite)

oh and i'd better name someone... meth. where is that germanic goddess anyways??

But I thought that made it interesting...forcing exposure to more than one culture. We all had a more worldly perspective...less provencial. But then I found I was less likely to actually venture into strictly Aussie Social...segregation wound up working in both directions, methinks. It's too bad...I lost track of too many really good people.

BTW, my post was purely for comedic effect...I didn't need an actual explanation. How 's married life, johnboy? Siring the the next generation of Angry Anglo's Against America? ;) Hope things are going well.

I'd like to apologise for what I said at the start of the thread. To see this thread go 8 pages without it turning to crap really is testament to the kind of people who use this forum. I think I've been feeling pretty bitter towards the general populace recently, and this has helped restore some of my faith in people.
