The Other Drugs Mod team currently consists of Leftwing, SixpartSeven, DJSim, and myself. You'll get to work with us as well as the senior mods Shambles and RogueRobot as well as the administrators designated for Other Drugs, Phrozen and tobala. We're looking for someone to fill the void. As you may or may not know, we recently lost Unknown. This gives us an opportunity to get a new moderator, hence this post.

Unlike most other times, we are hoping to do this rather quickly, the deadline is January 31st, 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time. This means if you don't live on the east coast of the US, please find out the correlating time that your application will be due by (or just PM me and ask, what time is it CH? since it'll be a Sunday I will more than likely be awake).

Your application should contain: the reason(s) you feel you are going to be a good choice as a moderator, your experience with other drugs, your knowledge of pharmacology, and how much time you will be able to dedicate to moderating in Other Drugs. Any other information you feel is relevant is also welcome too.

Please also keep in mind that just because you submit an application doesn't mean we're going to choose you as a moderator. If that does happen, you will be PM'd by Phrozen. And please be patient, though we're giving you roughly 7 days to give us an application, we will need at least 7 days if not more to go through the applications, debate our options, and then finally choose a candidate. I remember when I applied it took over 1 month before it was announced that SixpartSeven and I were moderators for OD.

Please send a copy of your application to ALL of the OD Mods.

and don't be afraid to tell us a little about yourself, your interests, etc. we're a pretty sociable bunch, the OD team, there is a lot of fun behind moderating. you'll find we're really diverting the findraiser money to midget porn and dr00gz. how do you think we really afford our habits?

you'll be expected to have patience as well, be courteous (especialliy noobs). if you don't have RSD from wanking typing then you will a few months into the job.

there's also a level of professionalism expected to be upheld, previous posts will be indicative of this.

Seriously, we're a good bunch of guys who have fun doing the job and can promise you will enjoy it just as much as we do. It's nice to give back to the community you've been a part of for so long, and being a Mod here is a great way to give back.

whoever the lucky contestant is will be just in time for my first anniversary of a mod; it's a sentimental time of year for me.

now it's time for 20 nods of sleep between selection.

just for clarity, 20 was an arbitrary number and no threads on how long a nod is. we will let you know when we've made our choice, so sleep tight (or naked)
 
My Australian friend above me jumped the gun a little ;) You still have 7 hours to get your applications in.
 
1.5 hours left to submit apps. Any received after that time will not be qualified. This is your last chance, so get them in if you're still interested.
