I remember reading somewhere that Hoffman had come up with a few other compounds which had similar effects on the body to LSD but which did not induce a psychedelic state. I remember one of the main effects being that it increased oxygen flow to the brain, this is the effect I am after.. I can take LSD for this same effect while I am not at work/school, but would like to have this steady increased oxygen flow without inebriation..

What is it I am thinking of? I know someone on here must know.

I'm speaking out of complete ignorance, but that doesn't sound like the healthiest habit.

Piracetam, while not synthesized by Hoffman, increases communication between the two hemispheres of the brain. I have found it useful in my daily life and it is completely non-toxic even at high doses. Might want to check into that

I'm intrigued by this. Anyone able to elaborate based on first hand experience?

I've read it was originally thought to increase oxygen flow to the brain but actually improves something with brain cells themselves, don't remember what exactly maybe metabolism or something.

Edit: yeah it was brain cell metabolism that i read it improves.
