Obama - "Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist who is responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children"
deaths in 911: around 3,000
civilian deaths in Afghanistan: 8,813 deaths and 15,863 injuries
total death count involved in both the Iraq and Afghanistan war to date is close to 1million
...
so whos the terrorist?
In my opinion, these are gut wrenching statistics and that of which voices an undeniable message that is so very loud and clear.
I guess the real terrorist is ignorance, money, corruption, guns, people, social stratification, greed, selfishness ect ; but more relevantly and pointedly, Soldiers guided by a false sense of patriotism accopanied with their unawareness and/or denial of the armies true nature and the totality of the results caused by its actions, it's movement and it's progression.
On another note.
Why would America put in jeopardy, the lives of innocent people around the globe at the risk of another potential terrorist attack by publicising Osama bin Laddenss death when they could've just said absolutely nothing at all?
As some people have said and even if his death was used as an excuse for America to get out of Afghanistan and to declare the war of terrorisim one step closer to being 'over.' They needn't have done so as what was it that was stopping them for getting out ealier? I mean who is it that America is seeking redemption and approval from anyway? The general public? Pffft.
The most the general public can do is come together, voice an opinion and hope that it is herd of and acknowledged in awe. With that being said, America has typically proven to do so by celebrating proudly but alternatively, I think they could've just spat in a terrorists face and basically said ''Come at us.''
I think its clear that America wanted the world to know that killing Osama Bin Laden was some kind of fucking legendary achievement, that itself being a contradicton as they claim to have disposed of his body the way they did because they didn't want to
boast about his death.
I've been thinking and is it just me or is this whole scenario subtly, normalising murder on some hidden level? I mean what America is basically saying and indirectly implanting into my minds of many is that if you are linked to and responsible for an 'x' ammount of deaths and/or terrorisim alone then murdering you okay in the sight of morality and the law. Just a speculation as I know how much the media influences people.
I've just realized that this is basically a rant post so don't bother reading it.
