Origin of term rolling

I have always heard that people said it because you have a feeling of energy waves "rolling" through your body. Whether or not that is true .. well its beyond me.

^^^
That's pretty much what I have heard, too.

Also, it appearently a US-centric term. So if you go to Europe or Australia and say. "Man! I'm rolling balls!" Everyone will look at you a little funny. :D

yeah it is mainly a US thing i dont hear up in Canada, i picked up the term from using BL

i agree with the waves rollin through your body....at least thats what ive heard!! when i went to Red Lake, Ontario they knew what i was talking about when i said i would be rolling and asked if they wanted to buy some off me and join in!! i guess its widely known BUT ppl just use different terms!

Don't really know, but i have never heard it before. I live in europe..

Hehehe...I don't know but a friend of ours tried it litterally while we were "rolling" once. We were at a park swinging on the swings and they had this hill that we decided to lay down and roll down. OMG it was fun. We were determined that's why they called it rolling...because if you rolled down a hill it was so much fun. Seriously, try it ;)

But I haven't heard of any official reason why it's called rolling.

Limp Biscuit's song 'Rollin' he used car and refered to cars in his film clip and wateva but i bet ya it something to do with a lil thing called MDMA! lol

I've heard it is due to the fact that your eyes "roll" into the back of your head...seemed logical to me, and that is what I have been going off.

If I have a good pill (read:MDMA,) sit back, close my eyes and just focus on the feeling, I can feel something almost like a little ball of warmth that seems to almost "roll" from my chest to my abdomen and back. The term makes sense to me.

bone thugs n harmony - ecstasy

keeps repeating ROLLING ROLLING ROLLING, i doubt tis the origin of the term but i'm sure it was a big promoter for it

Its real origins are probably lost forever. There could be half a dozen ways its name came about, most of them suggested in this thread. Its definately a mostly US thing though. I spend so much time on Bluelight it crept into my vocabulary a while back and I accidently said "rolling" to someone and they just looked at me blankly till I realised my mistake. Hasn't happened since, I make a concious effort not to say it, I only use it when typing on Bluelight.
