I just made my first purchase of research chemicals online: 1g of a powder, and 10 pellets of something else. What I actually received was 100 pellets and way over a gram (I can't be sure how much at the moment without my scales though of the powder.

I am really vey quite surprised. Has anyone else, without discussing specific vendors or sources, ever received more than what they expected, paid for, or ordered? My first thought was that it must be an error, however since, I've been wondering as to whether this has anything to do with the upcoming ban, or that I'm a new customer.

I really hope this is within the confines of the rules and that people could share their experiences so I Can see if this is super unusual or not?

It is fairly common to receive extra stuff when ordering - probably more to do with the upcoming ban than you being new.

You can read through a few of the threads (3 Fpm and Benzo) and you will see a lot of people saying they have received either extra of what they ordered or other stuff.
 
I'm unsure on the confines of the rules to this, however I'll say that the 1g of powder, will likely weigh 1.5 as the bag will weigh roughly half a gram at most.

Certain RC's and especially in powder form, can be very bulky looking, and it may look like there is more in there than there really is.

100 rather than 10 must be something like you say.

I can't say this has ever happened to me though *sigh*

Let us know what you have, so we can point you to some good HR advise on the forum. Receiving 100, rather than your intended amount of 10, and whether you happen to be as impulsive as I am, will lead to using more of them sooner. :)

I have since managed to nip round to a friend's with a mg scale, and without the packet, there are over 2g of the powder there! Amazing!
 
Receiving more is very, very common. Never trust that there is anything remotely close to the amount you officially "requested", get your own set of scales. They do not necessarily have to be highly sensitive but don't use anything that would be used for Cannabis - "0.1" displayed means nothing more than "between ~10mg and 200mg".

Receiving massively more is not common but not unheard of. I once ordered 3g of EPD, I received 33g....
I actually emailed the company and told them they had sent "substantially more" and asked if they would like the excess returning - if they were aware of the fuck-up being eleven-fold the value of what I paid, without it coming from me, they would likely acknowledge it.
To paraphrase the reply: "no, we often send a little extra as a thank you for choosing us".
Never replied, closed my account and ran off into the sunset. =D
