oramorph 10mg/5ml

Whats the equivalent of 10mg morphine to 30mg codeine phosphate.

My mate has genuine prescribed bottles of the stuff but i ChiCkened out of taking the 50ml he gave me to take home with me.

According to the textbooks, 30mg codeine is equal to around 3mg morphine. In my (albeit limited) experience, I'd say 10x stronger seems about right.

If 30mg codeine does it for you, your mate's suggested 100mg morphine dose would have ended very badly.

For the record he wasn't suggesting i take it all at once, he just gave me it and said have a syringe full every now and then. So 5ml would be somewhat similar to 100mg codeine phosphate? I wish id have taken it home now, bastard!

I've switched between the 2, although I avoided long periods of using Oramorph, it's good for breakthrough pain but XR is better for long term pain management.

I'm reluctant to make a direct comparison, but I's say you werent far from the mark, I found Oramorph hit pretty quick, go for 5ml, don't redose and see how you get on.

Its too late now anyway lol. I shit my knickers with a bottle of a super dooper strong drug staring at me.
 
Morphine is a complete waste of time if you're looking to get high tho. I've have access to it for years and have never found a way of getting high from it. Taking oramorph orally just gives you a ferocious headache and nausea. Codeine is a lot better for getting stoned on.
 
I agree! I was prescribed it for a long time and never found it good recreationally especially oramorph, I used to sip it all day at work :/
 
It's incredibly frustrating - I was brought up on tales of Errol Flynn injecting morphine and thought it was the shizz but taking it orally does nowt. Even, to my embarrassment, tried smoking it and that didn't do anything either. God knows why it's so crap orally.
 
my pal was on about digging it, he probably could because he has hose pipes for veins but I imagine you would need to be digging like 20ml of the syrup? And not sure if it would be a great idea not knowing what the suspension is made up of... Any ideas?

Disagree, 30mg oramorph worked out lovely. Not too itch or that sicky feeling you can get from codeine. Just nice and chilled.
