Someone who isn't me (literally this isn't me, I'm asking for a friend) has said they have come across some sublingual morphine. I am currently waiting on them to send me a picture of the bottle, so will hopefully have a better idea.

I have never heard of this before at all, I didn't know they made morphine in this fashion, Wikipedia doesn't even list sublingual as a standard route of administration.

Has anyone heard of this before? They've asked me if this would be safe to inject. I firstly asked what the solution was made of, as I think that's the most important thing to figure out.

It exposes a bit of my own ignorance, as I realize I don't even know what a standard medical solution is made of to prevent bacteria from forming in it over time.

If you have heard of this or have any general knowledge, it'd be appreciated! Search engine didn't reveal much.

Ok so nevermind, I'm not sure where the sublingual bit came from, but it is a standard morphine sulfate oral solution. Unfortunately the picture did not include what the solution is made from. Does anyone know what this might be made from?

It looks like in one formulation I found online, the solution includes ethanol. So without knowing the ingredient of the solution and the possibility that this is one of the ingredients, I advised to avoid injection.

The bottle is from Tris pharma, it is 20mg/ml. This is a couple ingredients lists I've found, but couldn't find anything specifically from that brand:

Morphine Aristo 20 mg/ml lists the following additives:
Amaranth
Ascorbin acid, waterfree
Dinatrium edetat 2-Water
Natrium benzoat
Water, purified
Natrium Ion
