Opioids Oral hydromorphone not working?

i know everything about the bioavailabilities and i did sniff a couple 2 mgs...but i got them for pancreatitus and they did absolutely nothing for the pain or any positive effect, did about 12 mgs at one time and nothing...i do have a slight oxy tolerance but thought that dilaudid was going to be super serious, because i had to take a drug test in the docs office before i was handed the script....anyone one else who doesnt inject or has pain had a problem of hydromorphone just not really working?

one 2mg pill will give me pleasant, almost cocaine-like slight rush if i snort it. i rarely get opiates though so i have virtually no tolerance, so if you tried 12mgs, and if thats ot working, plug or IV it if your comfortable with those ROAs.

also what is your average oxy dose?

i dont have them anymore...it was for breakthrough pain....but i dont plug nor iv...to me they were a waste of money for my insurance company...i should have just asked for oxy

funny how you prefer oxy, dilaudid is my hands down favorite opioid, closely followed by heroin

regfairfield, Yes! I had the exact same experience. I switched to IR oxymorphone from IR oxycodone, and it ended up being sub par for me... in every way. Luckily, my doctor just switched be back to oxycodone.

what you have my friend is a tolerance. It's okay though everyone's brain responds differently to dopamine release as we get older. It's both a natural and developed factor to consider. My ex.: me and an ex had some hydromorph. once and we only sniffed about 2-4 mg. each (I might have had a tad more when we divided it up. her call, not mine haha) and we both got laid down. Like glued to the floor giggling for hours. I've never snorted an opioid and had it work so well (except for the two times we found Tar). Dils are easy to cook down though and filter if your an IV kinda guy. Be safe though. People make bad decisions i don't want them ending up OD'd and dead like my best friend.
