Oral Drug Screen Results

I was recently let go from a job that I had already relocated for because of a cocaine positive on a preemployment oral swab drug screen. There has to be a mistake somewhere. Within 5 days of being fired I paid for my own hair follicle test which came back negative for all drugs. I had them send me the results of the swab retest and the results look odd to me. It shows that I am completely negative on Bezoylecgonine but cocaine came back at 10ng/ml. This has sofar completely destroyed my career. I just had a heart attack from the stress and now I am looking at having to file bankruptcy and losing my home. Do these results look add to anyone else? I am trying to just understand what is happening to me. Thank you very much.

I'm sorry but we don't allow drug testing questions here. I know you aren't asking how to cheat a drug test or anything, but there's no way for us to know what went wrong with your drug test. It does sound very strange. I would dispute the test and see if they can re-analyze it. Some medications and medical conditions can sometimes trigger a false positive for cocaine, consider whether or not you were taking anything (for example certain antibiotics) that can potentially give a false positive for cocaine. And show them your hair follicle test. Good luck
