DOC - 6mg (oral) - Mixed results with N2O

Here is a recent experience I had with 6mg of DOC. I've provided a link to this within the "The Big and Dandy DOC thread (fixed)"

+0:00 - I took 6mg of DOC (suspended in vodka) on 3/24, several hours after eating a small salad. I noticed that DOC is not entirely soluble in either ethanol or water, and even after vigorous stirring I could still see small 'chunks' floating in the vodka.

+0:30 - I first noticed the effects at this point, mostly an increased sense of awareness and sharpening of perception accompanied by stimulation and slight nausea. +1.

+1:10 - The nausea continued to develop to extremely uncomfortable levels, until I vomited a little bit. I continued to feel nauseous but felt that I could sit up now, rather than being incapacitated in bed.

+1:30 - Sometime around now the nausea subsided, as soon as it did the visuals began to develop rapidly. One minute they were very minimal, and the next it was difficult to see in front of me. I quite rapidly shot up to a +3, but in no way did this change feel uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the rapid change in visual activity, I wouldn't have noticed it. I felt almost no body load at this point, and I felt quite relaxed (reminded me of 2C-C, but not as sedating), but alert.

+3:00 - The visuals have died down slightly, though I am certainly not complaining. Unfortunately, DOC seems to have the least amount of mental effects compared to the other phenethylamines I've tried, though I feel quit joyous. Still at a +3.

I break out the nitrous at this point, and find it both interesting and very disappointing. Unlike 2C-P, the combination seems to produce almost entirely physical effects, and is largely devoid of the sort of cosmic realizations and mystical experiences that 2C-P + Nitrous gives me. A few times the nitrous felt almost orgasmic, as my entire vision flooded with light, while other times my entire vision looked like it was burning and it would turn orange and red, and I felt extremely scared. Several times these later experiences really upset me, and once I felt as if I was being pushed to one side (much like salvia) and everything in my visual field would seem to "bleed" over to that side too, as if everything was a painting that had water spilled on it.

+4:00 The visuals continue to die down and I feel as if I am slowly coming down (what the fuck?) This is not new, my previous experiences with DOC (including snorted) have revealed a short peak and an excruciatingly long come-down. Moderate +2.

+5:00-7:00 - Still coming down more, perhaps a weak to moderate +2, maybe less. Used lots of nitrous here, and found out that if I took one hit and then set it aside for 20 minutes I would have a higher percentage of good experiences and a lower percentage of bad ones. Like 2C-P, HO-MiPT, and ACO-DiPT, this combination makes giant red/orange "welts" burst through my wall, sometimes in time to the music, though it will occur whether music is on or not. This effect always scared me, luckily it was far more prevalent on 2C-P and ACO-MiPT.

The effects continued to die down, and I remained mostly at a +1 state from hours +8:00 until +13:00. Vodka did nothing to help me sleep, except make me feel drunk and stimulated (which wasn't too bad, but I craved sleep). I ended up staying awake for 23 hours total, and then I slept for 19. I found that Sigur Ros is absolutely wonderful for this substance, and I had their album ( ) on repeat for all of the 20+ hours. I also (foolishly) did some nitrous after drinking a fair amount of vodka (this amount would have me crushed if I were sober, but on DOC, I didn't really feel it!) I am absolutely positive that I knocked myself unconcious for anywhere from a few to 30 seconds, and it was not at all unpleasant. When I came to it felt like waking up from a deep sleep, and I was relieved to find out that I was conscious once again. I once did this with ketamine alone too (by accident), but this time it felt good; hard to describe why.

There is one more curious experience I had involving nitrous that I would like to share, despite the growing length of this post. After inhaling the nitrous I found that I saw what looked like smoke or dust in front of me. Upon closer inspection I noticed everything seemed closer, and at the same time, incredibly slowed down. I became convinced that I was somehow able to see at a more "fundamental" level, and solid objects became hazy as I could see the clouds of molecules around them. I became utterly convinced that this had important implications for cognitive science and the study of consciousness (areas which I study academically).

I also noticed that the sound coming out of speakers seemed to be directly inside my ear, as if I were hearing the sound as it reached my ear drum, but my brain could no longer calculate the direction that the sound was coming from, so it seemed to be generated within my ear. I could also feel, quite strongly, the sound waves as they reverberated off of everything, including the walls across my room. By far the most interesting thing about this experience was the utter conviction that I had stumbled upon something that was crucial to our understanding of consciousness. However, as the experience faded away, so did this conviction.

I felt that this was a perfect dose for me (though I will try 8-9mg in the future to see if more mental effects develop.) I also noticed that the more interesting and pleasant nitrous trips happened after I had come down to +2. While the visuals were strong, 2mg of DOC snorted produced slightly stronger visuals, but the side effects are too distracting (alarming diarrhea). I regret that the peak seems so short in me (3 hours max, and from there it's all "down hill"). Also notable is the fact that I slept for 19 hours following the trip.

If anyone has questions or wants some clarifications, please ask.

one of the fundamental nitrous moments, finding something worthy to stare at during the hit and being unable to logically process it for a few minutes afterwards. i'll bet that some of the smoke and dust you were looking at while you were inhaling (balloon or bulberator?) was nitrous coming out your nose at the same time (lesson 1 of why not to suck in too hard) ;)

well done

I wasn't familiar with the term 'bulberator', I had to look that up. I've always thought of it as a 'dispenser' (being what it is, of course). The possibility that what I was seeing was nitrous is unlikely, as it didn't occur every time (in fact only once). It seems that I would have seen it more often than that. Also, the effect did not being until a number of seconds after I had exhaled the nitrous (I realize that isn't indicated in my report), and it persisted for far longer than it should have taken for the nitrous to disperse.

At any rate, it was a weird experience, and quite a strange hallucination. Nitrous (for me) usually produces hallucinations that are easily distinguishable as such, though in this instance that was not the case. Thanks for the reply.

Taking DOC on a full stomach doesn't affets the onset, peak or duration very much at all. It also reduces the nausea at the beginning quite noticably.
