What is the real physiological difference of HCO3 and CO3 before an adderall dose?

When I browse almost everyone recommends the baking soda method over tums, why?
 
Nothing, carbonate is slightly more basic.

I think people reccomend using baking soda because the calcium carbonate in Tums is liable to cause constipation if you eat too much of it.
