Opioids Opoids: percocet doesn't do much for me - should I try others or give up?

One often forgets the subtlty of an opiate experience. Some people are very keen to notice the opiate's effects, and take to liking them immediately. Others don't really "get" opiates for the first few times, or sometimes for even longer than that. Opiates are subtle, even when they're intense. That is a weird concept, but it is very true. Don't go on to stronger opiates or higher doses, just wait a little while, and try about the same dose (or even less), and go into with a very unexpecting mindset. Let the opiate roll over you.

Tis is totally true and I sort of touched on that earlier. Some people just don't really get the buzz. People here that heroin is a super addictive drug so I think they expect the high to be really intense, but it's the subtle nature of it that makes it so addicting as it seems so gentle.

I don't really feel like its a good idea to suggest that the OP "try it out a few more times", as while opiates are fucking incredible, it seems like if you didn't get much out of the experience you should just thank your lucky stars that you didn't have a life changing experience that could quite possibly change the direction of your life, like heroin did for me and I'm sure many others, in a rather destructive way.

i don't hate my opiate habit or anything, but i don't have a choice any more.
what is it you are trying for?
i almost envy that you still have the choice in front of you. the thing is, if you DO succeed, and discover that you like opiates...then what? you'll then have this bind that you want to take them but can't (for the reasons you mentioned like drug tests and family).
some people find the love of opiates they find is stronger than those ties to a responsible life.
don't sweat it - there is no rush to try opiates, or to love them.
i love opiates, but sometimes i kinda wish i'd never gone out of my way to discover that. it's a knowledge that you can't undo.

i'm not one of those drug users that preaches and moralises and warns others not to do what i did, or what i do...but just be warned.

practically every junkie in the world used to think they were too strong to get hooked, or that they had too many responsibilities, or that they didn't really like it anyway. some people get hooked in just trying to work out what the fuss is all about. i always thought i knew better than to get a habit, and i've had one for nearly 7 years now.

in my opinion, there are better drugs to go experimenting with.
maybe if percocet "doesn't do much" for you, you should count yourself lucky and move on?
play safe :)

Fuck the idea, change your mind, and don't even try any opiate. The "responsible use" comes one in maybe a hundred, and the price for the "warm nice blanket feeling" is very fuckin expensive. Try to ask some opiate users and listen their opinion/advices. The point is that you get hooked, before you even fuckin understand it..and you wake up in a morning and you feel terrible, you ask yourself "what the fuck is happening to me?", and that's it, you're an addicted now, and believe me, it's so horrible..and you won't even look at the sun like the way you did before, as a good friend of mine says, everything has changed...Well, that's my point of view, and i'm one from the lucky guys, fuckin lol, it's your choise, but think it again if you wanna try...Anyway, i said all these for your good and your safety, mate, believe me..:)
