Opium

If everyone knew about how time consuming it was to grow opium, and how easy it is to turn opium into heroin, you would know why it is impossible to get unless you know someone that grows it. Show me the idiot that smuggles in 1 kg of opium to the US and I'll show you the idiot that puts heroin in his ecstacy, not to say that it never happens, but you probally have a better chance winning the lotto.
 
ive found a quarter gram should do you and a few friends if its real. youll notice the high, if your trying to find it for to long it might not be worth your time

there is also a black tarry incense that can be bought at a few headshops. it smells like opium, burns like opium, and has the same consistency as opium. doesn't got you high tho. ;)

As the man says, the chances of it being real opium are pretty much zero. It's almost impossible finding real opium in fucking Thailand never mind the US. They convert the opium to heroin as near as possible to the source where it's grown as they can. No-ones going to risk transporting enormous quantities of opium - simply isn't economical. And the chances of someone growing enough opium to deal it are also close to zero. You'd need scores of poppies and keeping the gro-lights on for 12 hours a day for 3 months is likely to cost more than what you could sell the opium for.

Nick Tosche's book "The last opium den" has some great info on why opium unfortunately died out.

I've done opium once. Looked like black hashish and it did smell like insence. We did get a nice case of the nods About the O being processed close to the field is true but don't forget Mexico and Canada, real easy to get across the border. When we got ours it was from a friend who drives a truck into both.
Since the poppy is legal in Canada and it's so close to us that you could get the finished O across that border. BTW weed is now legal in Ontario, Canada.
Easiest of all would to grow them your self slice the pods and scrap and dry th O . That's where I lost every thing. but slice the edges NOT DEEP! yiu'll see the white sap. Let this to dry for abou 12 hours and then go back to the pods. Scrap the black gooo off and put it in a jar or cup. Don't smoke this as it stinks and it's fustrating. You have to process the O into the Codeine, Morphine and Theibane. If you ever ODed theibane is was you got that woke you up in the er.
Let's just leave it as it is on this poor site you don't have to go though all that .

Regarding our terms: "black tar opium" I've never heard of; primarily because it doesn't exist. Opium is opium is opium, and it's called "opium", nothing more. After it is collected and is dried, it begins darkening. At it's most dried it will be so dark brown as to look almost black, and have a dense putty-like consistency. When you see it, it will be rolled into a ball. And you will rarely see it (some Middle Eastern or Asian communities aside, as noted above). If you do happen to see it, you will almost certainly see something no bigger than a grape.

You might be confusing black tar heroin with this.



Regarding "red opium" or "dragon's blood opium": there is no such thing. This is incense. Whoever has bought this, smoked this, bragged about what a dreamy opium high it gives, asked questions about it (because there have been several threads about this shit over the last three years) is an idiot. Sorry, but it's true. Please stop.
 
BTW, although opium has been almost unseen in the vast majority of the US, there's a possibility this may change very soon: Colombian and Mexican narco-trafficantes are now cultivating papaver somniferum . That's right; Mr. Opium Poppy may become as common as Mexican ditchweed.

ummm they've been cultivating opium in mexico for years and years, they make black tar heroin out of it.
 
I've smoked "opium" 3 times and never got high. All the kids I knew that bought it bought it from legit drug dealers that they were friends with for years. All of my friends got high except me, moral of the story- Opium is like pussy, though people that know what they are doing don't get a kick out of a fake one, people that don't know no better think they are both good, they just need to feel the real one to see the difference. I have also made pod tea and smoked pod puddy and I gotta say the reason why opium died out is cause it sucks compared to heroin/opiate pharms, its a fucking waste. Also, real opium doesn't smell like flowers when they burn, nor do they taste flowery. They smell like wierd when burned and taste like vitamin C, really tart. I was going to grow some poppies this year, but then I realized that I could probally make some more money growing pumpkins, and they are legal. This whole discussion really reminds me of people saying how there is heroin in E.

Think there is a coincidence that all your friends, save you, got high. I smell placebo. If it was real it would work. And it doesnt taste like vitamin C. Since tar heroin sort of tastes like vitamin C because of the acetic anhydride, it could of been this. But if you didnt get high, you didint smoke it correctly.

And this kitchkinet guy has been pissing me off...........

maybe i'm missing something? i live in ontario, as of two years ago poppies were illegal? i was really interested in growing things and was curious to see just how hard it was to grow poppies. after looking around and talking to growers, ect, i was told several times that people here can grow opium poppies for show, sometimes, but there are all sorts of permits and paperwork involved. was i misinformed?

also, pot aint legal. medicinal use is, if you fill out the government paper work and are able to find a doctor to 'perscribe' it. but right now the laws on the whole issue are so unclear police have been advised to hold off on busting pot users until the courts can sort the whole mess out

I live in the UK, they're are legal to grow but illegal to 'harvest', I'm doing it, you can too! ;)

Fuck the law, just be prepared to face the consequences if you get court. :)
