Opium vs it's synthetics

So I'm practicing up on my botany skills and currently trying to grow some P. somniferum. I have a so-so chemistry background and can get access to some valuable chemicals.

So my question is: How does smoking opium compare to say that of Oxy, Hydro, etc? Would it be worth it just to smoke the extractable opium from the plant and get the desired opiate high and euphoria I crave? Or should I go a step further and try deriving the alkaloids and synthesizing them? I do have Acetic Anhydride but I don't know if I wan't to get into smack that much. I'm content with my pharms.

Is smoking opium better than taking oxycodone, or hydros? About same? Less euphoric? Any kind of comparison would be nice.
 
it seems like it would be better than oxy or hydros since smoking usually provides a good rush but i've never tried it.
 
Hydromorphone and Diacetylmorphine blow away the natural opiods like morphine and codeine.

Synthetic>Natural
 
I'd just smoke the op... if your tollerance isn't high the opium will have you where you want to be. Maybe do some chemistry after the opium isn't doing it for you anymore, there's no sense in jumping to stronger drugs immediately if your tollerance still allows weaker ones to work.
 
opium is nice relaxing and euphoric when smoked IMO more sedating and less euphoric, i personally havent tried heroin but i myself prefer oxycodone or hydromorphone to the opium i harvested. (maybe it was just mediocre) i didnt get a tremendous amount and i found harvesting the latex was a hassle so i only lanced a couple pods only got a couple doses of smokeable O and just cut down the pods of most of my others for pod tea and tincture
 
OXY by otto snow is a good book if you wanna look into the synthesis thing but IMO you will need alot of poppies because you will need a decent amount of raw O and the more refining you do the less weight you will end up with. also not if you are really interested in tryin to synthesize yourself i have heard oriental poppies are the best because of thier high thebaine content oxycodone and some others are derived from thebaine not morphine
 
Mkay, cause I did lots of opiates in my day. Lots... and i Love them. Never tried opium tho so I was just curious if the effects are similar. Maybe ill smoke the O for a while see how it compares to that brilliant oxy euphoria I crave so much. If don't like it I can always start on my chemistry projects. And yes Oxy by Otto Snow is a good book for the synthesis. My buddy is going to order it off amazon soon since I am currently out of money..
 
In my experience, you need to smoke a LOT of opium to get the desired effects. It's not like weed where a couple tokes will have you blasted.

.5 grams of opium would probably get you where you need to be, with a low tolerance.
 
I used to smoke it all the time (when i had the source). It was real cheap and got me pretty fucked up. I would either put it into my pipe by itself or on top of weed and smoke it, those were the good old days! Not anymore...:(
 
wait, if u are harvesting ENOUGH paps... u must be doin a lot im assumin gand thats awesome

if u know how to do the exractions good to make it into diamorphine than fuck, go for it... its worth it and itll be 100% pure

how many pods u think ull have arvesetd... u mgiht not wanna answer that cuz i hear tahat DEA looks on these sites for the specific reason of finding people who grow iillegalpurposes

Well like I said I have never really grew anything before so I need to get better with my botany skills; so I can't really answer that question. With the Diamorphine however, my supply of AA is limited to maybe 10 ml at the moment. I don't know how much I would be able to produce with that amount, nor am I sure I even want to. I think I would like it too much. =\ Oh well, I guess this season may just be practice for next.
 
grow a SHIt LOAD of poppes and it smad easy to make the opium...i got a bowl pack with about 7 pods once that grew basiclly natural (we hardly watered it)
 
if you dont have that high a tolerance smoke real ope & a nice piece & op out for like a straight week in a dream haha. Diablo 2 LOD video anyone?
