Opium on East Coast?

I'm skeptical of this but the person it is coming from has only ever gotten me legit stuff. I'm not sure what to think. What are people's experiences with opium on the East coast? I'm halfway expecting pod tea residue (which wouldn't be the worst thing I guess...) I'm in Mass to be more specific.
 
It will most likely be black tar heroin, pod tea residue or dragons blood incense. These have all been used to pass off as opium for years. It is not economical to import opium because it is to bulky and its constituent parts are much more valuable per weight than opium. The only way I see it possibly being opium is if someone had a small private garden they extracted the opium from but if someone took the time, effort and tender loving care to tend to such a garden than I highly doubt they would want to part with the small amount of opium they were able to procure.
 
I believe that I read about opium being seized by Customs at JFK airport a few months ago. That either means that they got busted the first time that they tried smuggling it in, or that they had an established network that got busted after other shipments successfully made it past customs which would mean that it's been being sold here by those people for some time now.

I have not personally seen opium in NY since like 2008 when it was pretty common for q summer. I have not tried seeking it out at all so I have no idea what it's availability is around here.
 
I have only done opium a handful of times and now I wonder if it was just black tar heroin with an artificial spray on it to make it smell like opium. It was always very perfumery tasteing. We always rolled it In Joints or put it in a bowl with weed so who knows. I have never seen tar so I don't know the consistency of it but I could totally see that being passed off ecause of the bad stigma heroin has, but opium was exotic.
 
I also saw a episode of locked up abroad where an actor from "Dude Wheres My Car" was tricked into smuggling opium out of Pakistan. The smuggling ring was caught but the guy still had to do the time. The only time I have ever seen what was supposed to have been opium it wound up being Dragon's Blood incense. It had a strong perfume taste as well.
 
Ive seen real opium in the northeast 3 times in my life....with about 50 run-ins with total bullshit (violin rosin, that redrock crap from high times, incense).

The last time was 8/13/1997 in Pittsbugh....and before that it was 7/4/96 and 12/29/95...Its so fucking rare, I clearly remember the dates of sedation. If you smoke it and say "I think its real"...then its not. You know when its legit, no question about it.

They fucking love that shit and be walking around in bunches like they're floating on a cloud all laughing in chink and shit. It's pretty funny, and common at their pool & card (gambling) halls around here.

The times I had it was shit me and my buddy grew ourselves years ago. A very potent strain, but cant fucking remember other then they were NZ pharm grade poppies.

I preferred heroin, hydromorphone, oxycodone & cocaine so I really never gave a fuck about smoking opium.
 
When I was back in New England about a year ago, I had a friend who was buying "opium", and I was also very skeptical. I didn't try the shit, but I would find it hard to believe that it would make any economic sense to sell actual opium vs something else passed off as opium.
 
I remember back during the bud smoking days this dude would always have "opium" to sprinkle on the bowl. Shit was red or blue, can't remember. Any chance this was legit?

most red-rock is bullshit (about 95%). Never seen blue opium. If you have to ask whether it was real, it wasn't real. (not being a dick, for a long time I was the same way...then i smoked the real deal.)

Yeh man I agree, what is red-rock? Is it like spice for opium or something?
 
I was at a friends about 3 years ago and a kinda friend stopped by to buy oxy 30s and he had some opium, that is the last I have seen of it. Definitely some good stuff that added to my opiate high and so though the others smoking it and also snorting 30s.

Smoked some opium on a few occasions in high school, too. But that is it. I honestly don't know for sure if it was legit those times, I only remember smoking it 'for sure' 1 other time...because I was also tripping on shrooms. It was supposively rolled into a bone smoked amongst 4 or 5 ppl. I was tripping so the effects of that were too procounced to tell if I was getting a good narcotic effect from it, and I had far less experience in opiates at the time. Though I'd done my share of vics, percs, t3s and and the occasional 1/4 of an OC80 at that time, I still was too floored from the shrooms to tell if it was real opium or complete junk (i don't think I paid for it so could care less).
 
I've never come across legit opium on the east coast. Just dragons blood incense being passed off as opium (Useless stuff but I remember it having an interesting taste when smoked) and there was one dealer selling black tar heroin as opium....I think probably because most of his customers were potheads who would have been sketched if they knew it was heroin...pretty dishonest stuff that is....
 
Black Tar tastes fruity, like fruity pebbles. smells really good t0o, from what they say...... red rock never seemed to appealing,
