I have been doing some research on the Internet trying to find rc opiate like chems or organic plants that act similarly to opiates and I came across a plant called opium lettuce. It is the ancestor of today's modern lettuce and is supposed to have similar though weaker effects of opium poppies. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this, has tried it, and any infromation on it. Dosages, duration, dangers, side effects, and so on. Just curious.

It's called lactuca virosa and does not hit any opioid receptors.

Here at Other Drugs we try and focus on harm reduction. Searching for and compiling everything there is to know about lactuca virosa for you isn't exactly part of that. I've seen threads on it in Bluelight floating around before, and erowid probably has a page on it it as well so try some searches and you'll come up with a lot.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me but I'm going to close this.

It doesn't contain opioids; its effects are wildly exaggerated and your thread isn't appropriate for OD anyway. Normally I'd just ship this to BDD but instead of allowing this false hope to continue, I'd rather just end it now.

What you want to look into are kratom (and its active constituents), 7-acetoxymitragynine and O-desmethyltramadol.

All of these have been discussed so search around and if you want to ask basic questions, please direct them to Basic Drug Discussion.

PM me if you have any questions.

EDIT:

Nice job making me look like a fool, amapola!
