opioids make me angry sometimes

Sometimes when I snort an oxy or take a percocet in an hour or so I would get very angry or agitated over very little things. I'm usually a very chilled out person but when I take opioids especially in high doses (30-60mg) I get very angry. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yup high doses always did that to me, especially in the first year I did them I think its something with hormones if I remember correctly, and yea I think its somewhat common

Really? Weird...

Admitidly I've found oxy to be a bit of an unusual opioid.

Heroin is my main opioid of choice, and its never made me feel angry.

Methamphetamine has made me feel emotions more intensely, and that in turn has made me feel more angry than usual if something made angry. But it's not just anger. It also amplifies other emotions IME.

But no, opioids only suppress my emotions.

I find that opioids make me short tempered. Something about someone harshing my mellow when I’m trying to nod makes me very irritable...

Hydromorphone does that to me, and I am a basket case the day after I use it. Like, MDMA terrible Tuesday type self-loathing. Which sucks, because its effects on me seem to be exactly what I want in an opiate.

Others I'm my usual self but with less inhibition. I do occasionally get irate, but there's almost always a reason, even if my reaction skews toward over-the-topness.
