I find that echinacea counteracts the weakening of the immune system induced by opioids. In the past I never found echinacea to be effective in preventing me from getting sick but when it comes to opioids it seems to really help. At times when I can feel a cold coming on, I take some echinacea and a few hours later all symptoms of the onset of a cold subside. Anyone else here noticed this? Right now I seem to have got some kind of flu, despite the house being warm I feel like I'm freezing, have a headache and have this strange feeling that reminds me of the times I was sick in the past. Considering all that, I'mfairly sure I have caught some kind of microbial infection. I just found some echinacea extract pills I had lying around so I'm gonna put it to the test. The symptoms I have now just appeared when I woke up earlier so ordinarily these kinda symptoms would only get worse from here on so if they subside completely by tomorrow I think it'd be reasonable to assume the echinacea had something to do with it.
