Opioid withdrawl smell???

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SMELL FROM???
do yall know what im talking about? It gives me ptsd damn near.
Its a very specefic smell and its the worst ficking thing I've ever smelled. Do yall know what im talking about?
I just wanna know what it is and why it happens.
I know all our senses are heightened during wd but no matter what I always have this smell ill bathe in cologne, nothing, move, nothing its just a putrid smell I only smell while in withdrawl.

It's not one of those smells you can smell yourself, because you get used to your own body odor. But I know what he's talking about. The rattles.

My sweat physically changes in opioid and other withdrawal like benzo. It becomes noticeably thick, probably releases other stress pheromones too becomes my cat knows when I'm in withdrawal. He also knows when I'm in psychosis or whenever I take classical 5ht2a agonists. That's a whole different topic.

My sense of smell is sensitive when in WD in general and my wife has so many candles it drives me crazy I think I’m going crazy just sitting on the couch and suddenly smelling vanilla or shit like that , the same happens in my workplace.

No, there IS a smell……definitely.

Even benzo minor withdrawal, my sweat smelled weird, my girlfriend even noticed……and I noticed.

Yes, your senses are super tuned, sounds, light, and definitely smells. My sense of smell is amazing either way, but it’s different when sweating from Opioids and or Benzo’s

Like a chemical smell in your sweat …..the bed sheets smell too, I washed that right away.

It’s not all in your head…..there definitely IS a smell

I never stank more in wd but your sense of smell is definitely heightened. Its one of the more unpleasant effects of opiate wd imo

cortisol creates a stress response. so yes, it's a different chemical make up of the sweat, which then gets on hair and breeds and breeds and you stink.

What kind of opioids are you taking ?

I am sure there is a smell too. I don't know how to explain it either, although I think it is worse with brown/afghan heroin that other pharma opioids probably because of the cuts.

Actually I do think some cuts make it worse.

I always thought it was just heightened sense of smell that made you think you stank more? The cortisol thing does make sense though. Plus in wd you just cant fucking stop sweating! I hated that id be sitting down doing nothing but looking like i ran literal miles

I dont miss opiate wd's one goddamn bit. I could have gotten extra morphine last week but decided not to. Not worth risking gettng addicted again im good with my current dose
