Opinions on doing MDMA

Hey BlueLight,

I am planning on doing MDMA this Friday at an EDM event, but reading up on comedown reports [again] have me reconsidering.

My first roll was on Oct. 7th, 2012.
2nd - Dec. 28th, 2012
3rd - Jan. 11th, 2013 [Yes, I know] - First time mixing it with another drug, which was marijuana in this case. Will not be mixing ever again.
4th - Feb. 17th, 2013 - First attempt at re-dosing and failed. Will not be attempting again.

What do you guys think? You're probably thinking that if I have to ask then I shouldn't do it, but I'd like some opinions.

I test my MDMA, weigh every hit, drink water/powerade/gatorade moderately while on it, and I never re-dose minus that one night. I exercise and take plenty of anti-oxidants (Vitamin C & E) daily whether or not I plan on doing MDMA.

I've yet to experience a comedown -- I always have an afterglow the following day and I'd like to keep it that way.

that is sad to hear. ignore the haters. critically analyse.

keep doing what you are doing. listen to your body.
Side Question: If you take a large dose, let's say 300mg, will it hit you much faster than if you were to take a regular hit, let's say 120mg?
come up will be more intense, maybe a little quicker onset, but mostly just more intense. jumping from 120mg to 300mg is a rather large increase in dose, i would not recommend such a large increase. if you want to up your dose do it incrementally, from 120mg to 150mg would be much more sensible.
keep respecting mdma it will serve you well for many years to come.
 
you will probly regret it but iv pretty much done the same thing and the only withdrawal symptoms i get are a lack of motivation and a huge appetite. i try to stay in shape and eat healthy (whole foods, counting calories) and usually its not a problem but the couple weeks after my last dose i gained over 20 lbs. i have a problem with binge eating too but its usually not that big of a deal, like i usually binge for a couple days and im good for a few months but this was 2 weeks of pure sugar and lard based food. not too big a deal i guess, its just really fucking annoying having a second chin and tits because of a couple nights that didnt really turn out too good anyway. idk if this happens to anyone else though, iv always loved food way too much. lack of motivation isnt really a problem for me though, i dont do shit most of the week anyway.

hangover from mdma doesnt really feel like a hangover to me, more like just being unmotivated to do anything at all. plus alot of other drugs dont seem to feel as good to me during the weeks after using mdma for a couple weekends, which is extremely depressing in itself.

and yea itll prolly hit faster if you use a larger dose but i mean, like why? if you do 300 you might get there 20 minutes faster but youll prolly fuckup your tolerance and brain cells a hell of a lot more

so id say dont do it unless its a really special occasion thatll never happen again or something. youll probly do it anyway if your like me but just keep the dose reasonable and eat alot of whole vegetables and meats after, it helps alot more than people think

and yea weed and mdma dont mix for me either. honestly wayy too intense for me, its like crazy dysphoric couch lock that disipates into just feeling disgusting a couple hours later
this is is all purely oppinion though^^^

edit- my bad, i thought that said you were doing it for the fourth time in a month. way too overtired right now

You're dosing more than is sustainable in the long term, but since you've only taken a few doses total you'll probably be fine. Since the other aspects of your use seem responsible, I assume you know that you should be putting at least a month between rolls, for the sake of staying healthy.

That said, if you're one of these guys who says "I have to see this DJ and I have to roll at the show!" Then my advice is NO. The sooner you break out of that mindset the better.
 
Yeah, you are being very safe which is nice to see. I personally have never gotten a bad hangover or aftereffect from rolling, I always feel extra sociable and happy for about a month after i roll. If i started abusing MDMA though, i would expect otherwise.
 
You've only dosed a few times so it makes sense that you haven't had a comedown--yet. You should slow it down... once every 1-3 months is ideal. Every other month would keep your happy after glows. :) If you keep rolling every month you're going to start "losing the magic" and experience comedowns that will gradually get worse.
