Has anyone noticed that having done opiates even semi-regularly changes your relationship to weed?

1) Did it change the type of high you've received from weed before (how, and for the better or worse)?

2) And for those who had strong cravings to use weed everyday, did these cravings go away / minimize after opiate use?

Include the opiate(s) of choice, dosage & frequency, and grade of weed.

Keep in mind that this does not pertain to when you combine weed with opiates on the same day b/c that is a no-brainer golden combo, it is about how weed is affected on the days you smoke weed by itself (in-between the opiate days).

I haven't noticed a drastic difference in the weed high, only that it feels heavier/stronger.

Fortunately, my use has caused my weed cravings to back off from almost everyday to 1-3x a week. This draws me to opiates even more because I've always wanted to cut back on green but couldn't before.

stats: oxycodone, opana. 20mg oxy / 7-10 mg opana @ 2x a week. HQ green (brand Headies).

No it didn't. Weed always got me ripped, stoned, blitzed, whatever you wanna call it.
Of course blazing on opiates is different, and more enjoyable because it makes it so much easier to nod.

Nope. I've been smoking weed daily for almost 7 years. After using opiates my cravings were still just as strong, and they didn't minimize at all. If anything, after been a daily opiate user for a month and then stopping it increased the cravings I had for weed - because I really wanted to just stay high and relaxed all day - and weed was the best substitute for opiates when I didn't have any.

My opiate of choice is oxycodone (oxycontin 1st, percs 2nd)
Dosage & frequency: My usual oxy dose to get high is 20mg - snorted or oral. The frequency varied a lot. Throughout high school is was whenever I wanted it, so 3 - 6 days a week. 1st yr university was 80 - 120 mg a week (friday - sunday). 2nd yr Uni I went heavier - like 80 - 160mg a day for 1 - 3 months. Now in 3rd its roughly 120 - 160mg every 2 weeks, with the exception of this month, in which I've only had 40mg (not by choice).
Grade of weed: Hard to really say, I've smoked shitty brick weed, and I've smoked the boom of the boom. And everything in between. But usually I'm smoking mids, or slightly above mids.

i have noticed that once i developed a strong affinity for opiates, that i desire to smoke less and less green. i used to keep a heavy supply on hand, but as of late i have not even sought out weed partially because of the lack of desire, but also partially because i have focused finances on the opiates... but as far as changing the effect when i do smoke it does seem to make it more of a sedation when i smoke with o p but nothing unpleasant

I always used to feel that weed was euphoric and had a great body high. Then I took opiates and found out what the term "body high" meant. To me if I just take opiates, something is missing, and if I just smoke herb something is missing. They have to be combined to satisfy now.

I smoke whats generally considered on the high end of weed quality wise...always nice fluffy strong smelling good shit.

I have found that opiates and weed is the best fucking combination on the planet, weed makes opiates soooo much better, opiates make weed sooooo much better.

I usually do some heroin then smoke a blunt and my high is so nice

after 10 years of opies, naah,, to me the 2 are like peanut butter n jelly, or scotch n a good cigar, lool, just so synergistic its amazing.

Hmm, little confusion here. I'm not taking about combining opiates and weed, because that's a no-brainer win-win. I'm asking about on the days that you are NOT high on opiates (but are in-between opiate days), whether you crave weed just as much and feel the same effect as before opiates entered your life consistently.

ever since I started doing opiates on a regular basis I completely stopped smoking weed, and I used to be the biggest pothead in the world. now if I smoke any amount of weed at all, even the smallest little bit, I get super-stoned and extremely paranoid and it just is not enjoyable at all for me...its almost like a bad mushroom trip.... So i'm THC free

Im a opiate fiend but i still love my weed :D . In fact if anything i like weed better then opiates alot of the time because it helps my pain and bipolar more then opiates.

So im still the same old pothead i was in my teens despite about 6 years of strong opiate use and IV use.

Ya I definitely noticed a difference in my weed usage after getting into opiates for a while. After I stop using opiates I definitely was not as satisfied with the weed high. I didn't crave weed at all really and sometimes I just straight up didn't like it. I took upto 120mg of OC's a day for a couple months and smoked normally pretty bomb weed both before and after

When I was heavy into opiates, I almost completely stopped caring about weed. I had no desire to smoke it by itself and even if I did smoke with opiates alot of the time I found it better just to be on opiates themselves. Now that I'm not using opiates heavily I smoke alot more and my cravings for weed came back.

Yeah, I love my weed. It has never changed really. On opiates you can get a bit more of the nod while smoking weed. But getting high today clean from opiates feels the same as before I started opiates and pretty much while on opiates. idk weed = weed.

most definately had changed my relationship to weed. I just don't like it anymore. I feel paranoid and anxious. It makes me want to get more opiates.

Could a main factor influencing this whole paranoid/anxious feeling people get from weed after heavy opiate use be the fact that tolerance to weed dropped or was eliminated completely, so when it was finally smoked alone (not by yourself, I mean just weed) the effects were greatly magnified? And this wasn't the "usual feeling" that people were used to? And then something else could have made the user not want to continue using weed through these (possibly) initial negative effects of weed to the point of establishing a regular tolerance again - and thus achieving that "usual feeling" people were used to (of course I know that for some people it never goes away)?

With me, when I had opiates I had a desire to smoke sometimes but the two highs mixed together made me nauseous every time and way too dizzy.

Without opiates, I smoke every day and love it.

The only thing that changed for me was if money was tight and I could either get weed or get heroin, I'd get heroin.

That was barely ever. I always like to have herb. I always like to toke herb.

Me and herb are bestest buds! =D

the cravings definitely went down but so did the effects of the weed.
don't get super high anymore and it doesn't seem to last as long either (by itself)

doc: high quality paterson D
weed: best i can find, usually name brand

I tend to prefer to roll joints rather than smoke a cigarette, when at home anyhow.

So, I still smoke a normal amount when I do opiates, but I roll up, because I do opiates in my home, in general.

I'm sure that if I were addicted then I would see weed money as a little more H money, and stop smoking. But as a sometimes user it has no effect on my weed usage, which has been a constant for a long time.
