I grew up in the 70's under the missing supervision of my alcoholic/addict mother. Tried my first speeder at the age of 13. Mom said it was OK since she was the one giving it too me, lol, sad but true.. After that the doors to the chemically enhanced world were wide open for me. I had always been partial to any type of speed.....until, about 17 years ago a major back injury, surgery, and the aftermath brought a steady supply of opiates to my life. Which, at the time it seemed they would go well with my Meth use. 8o DOH! Didn't really think that through. =D
Never thought about being addicted to anything, even after 5 years of prescribed a massive amount of opiates I still didn't think I was addicted to them. Until I showed up at my Dr.s office for my appt. and he had retired all of a sudden. No more Dr., no more scripts, only thing I did have was a habit. After years of buying anywhere I could find them and in the last few years using heroin when I couldn't I finally figured out I need to get some help. Went threw treatment about 2 years ago, was on Suboxene for about 16 months and had a heck of a time getting off those.
So, here I am. Still using opiates and meth. Although my opiate use is down town to where I think I'll be able to fade it out completely in the next couple months or so. Still using Meth. I've never been what I would consider addicted to it. I can take it or leave it, I just like to take it more often than leaving it. :D
I've browsed the Bluelight forums over the last 4 or 5 years and have been very impressed with the knowledge and information here. Since I am usually on the B. Board of my favorite football team and it's the off season I figured I'd dip my toe in water here.

Hi, Welcome aboard! Thank you for sharing a bit about your experience. I enjoyed reading parts of your story as mine was similar actually. Started with stimulants, then onto opiates for pain from a surgery. I hope you enjoy the site. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions. I'm sure you'll relate here from what I've read.

Best,
Smoky :) <3
