Opioids Opiates seem to not be working

I just used oxymetazoline nose spray about 30 mins ago, and then did a normal line of oxymorphone, am I am not feeling anything. By now I am normally starting to feel the high. It's been about 15mins since I have insufflated the oxymorphone. Do you think that the nasal spray did something to my sinuses to where the oxy isn't being absorbed?
 
If you've gotten high fifteen minutes after snort oxymorphone seems to have been no interaction between the spray and opioid.

If the spray dry nasal mucous membrane can hinder the absorption because snorted substances are absorbed by hydrosolubility (by the aqueous nature of the nasal medium).
 
Oxymetazoline de-congests your nose\sinuses by vasoconstriction - shrinking the blood vessels. This means the drugs have less places to get absorbed. I have personally noticed nose sprays like this can slow - but not block entirely - sniffed drugs, by forcing most of it to be absorbed when the drip hits your stomach, instead of inside your nasal cavity.

The thing about oxymorphone, though, is that it has really poor absorption in the gut.

Next time, clear your nose with a plain Saline nasal spray, or a Neti Pot if your septum is still intact.
 
If your snorting opana ER, it is useless anyway, it just gels up in contact.
 
While what you say is true, Lorne, I know people who still can get VERY high from sniffing small amounts of Opana ER, like half of a 40ER...
 
I made a face when reading this... I use needles now and have for years and years, but when I was still snorting stuff I thought opana was pretty useless. But, if its worked out before, maybe your nose is messed up like he said. I know a guy that cleans out his nose every day or two so this won't happen. Good luck! I hate that "why the hell did I not just get high" feeling.
