Opiates on a full stomach = not good?

Last night, I took 10mg of oxycodone and felt pretty good. (I have extremely little tolerance)

But earlier today, after eating a big lunch, I took 15mg of oxycodone. I got almost no effects from it. Does a full stomach destroy the euphoric effect of opiates?

Having a full stomach causes it to take longer for the opiates in question to get into your system, and causes it to happen slower. I've never heard of it completely eliminating the effects, but having a full stomach can certainly make a noticeable difference.

i think because of this^ your brain does not get the "oh, i am high now" feeling as thoroughly. makes it feel less satisfying.

i certainly make a point not to eat hydro or oxycodone on a full stomach.

Yeah I usually tend to feel it a little more when I'm hungry. The good thing about doing painkillers is that when your hungry, the "hungry feeling" goes away until later. Now I'm sure thats not healthy for you, but you can give or take! :D

I feel the hit harder and faster when I haven’t eaten. But generally I have dinner. Have a couple of oxy's, couple of Diaz, wait and hour or so and then have a bigger dose of both. The high I get from that is good for me, and stretches it out a bit. Of course if I’m running low there is no way I'm tainting the oxys wit food. Maybe a shot of vodka, but defiantly not food.

Having a full stomach will (for all intents and purposes) reduce or even kill your high. I have heard of people who will stave off oxy cravings by eating a big meal, the point being they then know it's pointless to dose which helps them control cravings.

Obviously if you snort, bang or plug then it won't matter what's in your stomach.

Similar to last poster i agree full stomach can drastically reduce/kill opiate effects. I have similiary low tolerance to OP, two 10mg doses spread out is nice....but only on empty stomach...and i always use grapefruit juice, tums/antacids to base my stomach...And more often than not some clonindine and small amounts of an antihistamine.

The last (and only) time i took oxy within 2 hours of eating a decent sized meal i had 20mg slow release...nothin...another 20mg slow release...content but nothing special...finally (not a happy camper at this point) i had 10mg ir...Still less than the high i ussualy get from 10-20mg ir using my regular ROA(oral but with at least 5-6 hrs since a meal...preferably more) and probably not much longer in duration.

Personally I dose most usually in the afternoon. I skip breakfast, (but I often snack before bed) so it's usually about 12-14 hours since I last ate. I dose, wait 15-30 minutes, then eat. But I also take gravol about 30 minutes prior to dosing, because otherwise I have a tendency to get really sick.

Yeah ideal for me is 12 hours since eating..of course nausea is a much larger problem and you need to be careful not to barf up ur drugs...I find if dose under these circumstances 10-15mg gets me pretty blasted but anymore would make me throw up for sure.

Obviously not great on your stomach doing this...as stated a small meal just after ingestion helps a lot...preferably with lots of fat..Theres a lot of info out there about this...from my experience a few potato chips works well but a cheeseburger (or half a cheeseburger) works much better.
