Opiates in Guatemala

I'm heading to Guatemala and finding out more and more that opiates are extremely scarce... Does anybody have some advice for me b/c I have quite the habit and going to run into some strong WD's when I arrive. I will be down there for 4 months all over.
I am aware that Kodone (vicodin) is available but I don't think that will be sufficient.

Learn Spanish. Also, the culture in Mexico and Latin America is generally reserved. People won't talk about drugs in a positive light unless they're young or hip. It will be available depending on who you know, of course, due to geographical location. Make some young friends who like to party. Yet, this is no guarantee: recuerde mordidas, guey.

Guatemala is a pretty conservative country (and just got out of a nasty civil war), so unless you speak good Spanish (and don't look like someone to rob) you're not gonna buy H (young hip people are more into party drugs, so that's especially what's offered to non-locals). And again, to find a doctor willing to prescribe you something is going to take time too, but if you speak Spanish it seems like it'd be doable, if you're confident and are spending the time they more than likely won't question you (old style system of respect, think 50s America). As you're aware you can buy Kodone in pharmacies though, 7.5/325s for a box of 20 (priced in Antigua). I was offered bud/hash/coke/E within 10 minutes of setting out walking around Antigua though, so if you're willing to risk it you might be able to find what you're looking for on the street.

Opiates are NOT scarce in Guatemala. I just spent 8 months there. No RX required, if they say you need one move on to the next pharmacy, it's easy. Kodone (vicodone) and Oxicontan are offered at every RX outlet at reasonable prices. Make sure you negotiate.

Should have went with the hash in exotic countries. It's always much more awesome. Blonde morrocan in Montreal, it's alright, and the tiny bowls you need to smoke to get so ridiculously high, well, it is still better in Morocco where they don't press it, kif. I had it too in MTL, pure unadulterated kif and holy fucking shit, it would make me SLEEPY, and I was smoking everyday since years when I got some and it was rivaling oil in strength.

Man, being that I don't have a habit right now, the over the counter hydrocodone is sounding pretty sweet. One can only assume they don't have jack-shit for a pharmacy/prescription monitoring system down there, so if you can do a CWE and "bounce around" you could have a great time.

This is excellent advice.

If I was a Mayan/Guatamelan I'd definitely have a gang to rip off white tourists of their money and maybe sell their organs on the market. Americans fucked with central americans too much to ever be able to approach from another generation and the tales of what they did (and still continue to do, Nicaragua 2009, is passed down and well...good luck. I'd try Belize visit ol' John free-antivirus McAfee get some of that perv brown PV.

wtf you are going someplace where you buy vicodin legally and you're complaining that opiates are scarce or vicodin is not sufficient? I don't get it. If I was able to get off a major heroin habit with nothing but kratom, I think you'll do just fine with vicodin. You might experience wds for a couple days if your habit was big enough, but once your body gets accustomed to the hydrocodone you will be fine.
