Heya Train- wow have you known anybody to really do that remedy, man that would take some kinda cohones to do that.To each their own, but I could NEVER make myself go into precipitated withdrawal just to take a poop! I could be wrong, but I would think that might not be very reliable for some people either because not everyone gets the runs, or at least not the runs right away (I dont) esp if hes gonna need to be going right back to his DOC. The problem is that he probably wouldnt even be able to go back to his DOC after doing that, or at least not for a while. If its enough to make him go into withdrawal, (which I am certain that one milligram would be more than enough), with bupes long half- life then it is in essence strong enough to yank it off for who knows how long. Theres a good chance he'd then not only still be constipated but also in precipitated withdrawal. Im a bit naive to Subs so maybe you know how they can be manipulated more than me and Im not sayin it absolutely wouldnt work for extreme situations such as his, but I have to say that is the very last option Id choose! hhe
Let me just reitterate though, if anyone on here is ever really constipated or just wants a good flush, get epsom salt and do the max dose for a laxative.Other than a full blown colonic,It will clear you out more than any other remedy for constipation.Like I said, it is rough though esp the more constipated you are,and it can even dehydrate you if you dont drink alot of water with it.You will feel SO much better and lighter afterwards though.
Well let me say this in response to your earlier post...(sorry its a bump but I want to reply to it and its pertinent)
Firstly, if you've been backed up for 3 weeks with absolutely no movement then you almost certainly have to do 1 of 2 things. A. Go to the Dr./ER for a fleet enema or a very strong laxative (which still might not work at that advanced stage of constipation) B. Wait long enough to go into bad enough withdrawal for your stools to become loose, because believe me, once you get to that point it will come out.
I am not advocating to just foolishly pop a full 8 mg Suboxone tab while high and induce a full on precipitated withdrawal. What I would suggest is carefully do this.
- Wait as long as you can until you are in mild withdrawal (some restless legs, very hard to fall alseeep sleep, no appettite) This is basically how I feel when I wake up after using dope when I am dependent, so its 10-12 hours after my last dose(for some people it takes longer, so just wait until you have those symptoms, but no longer, the idea is to fix the constipation with the least amount of discomfort).
-Now you take Suboxone to slowly bump the full agonist remaining off the receptors and you should get to the stage of w/d where you have loose stools. I would suggest no more than 1 mg to start, but if you are unfamiliar with your bodies reaction to Sub, then start lower, like .25 or at most .5 mg., having strips helps to accurately dose. I know 1 mg after 12 horus will cause me to go from mild to moderate w/d, it actually helps certain thigns like the mental aspect, but increases physical w/d symptoms like back pain and loose stools.
- So you gotta also have a decent amount of your DOC to do this, like at least 2X your normal dose incase it really hits you hard, but 1 mg after 12 hours should've cause and awful PWD in anyone, and if it does you have plenty to break through and it will atleast allow you to feel decent until the Sub wear off a little more and you can get high again.
- Honestly 1 mg might even be too might, 0.5 mg is probably a better starting point but if you want to get things done quicker then 1 mg will do it and you can still break through and get high after.
- A few things to note,
- this will only work with those who have a decent tolerance, like needing more than what 4 mg of Subs is = to, so you want to have a tolerance of like 60 mg or more of Oxy at a time, this isn't for light weights. I think a light user can just suck it up and go without their DOC for a little while or just use laxatives and deal with their constipation.
- Have patience, the Subs can take over an hour to kick in fully, what I will do is knock back a coffee around 1 hour and 15 minutes after I take that .5-1 mg of Sub, then all of a sudden the Sub seems to knock the receptor agonizing DOC off the receptors and the coffee helps get the gut moving, voila! I have to take a crap BAD.
- Continue to wait because if you are real backed up you might have to go a couple more times after the initial one, might as well clear out the whole system.
- After taking the Sub and its been over 90 minutes I'd say you are good to use your DOC and get back to feeling decent. As I mentioned, 1 mg can be broken through but don't go overboard trying to, just do enough to feel decent, accept the fact that you won't be actually high for 8-12 hours but be happy you are not holding 5 lbs feces inside anymore and you can use you DOC to still feel decent.
- Doing this, just like going through any withdrawal period from opioids, will leave you dehydrated and delpleted of nutrients(look at bottom of post for an important noteworthy fact about this), so take a multi vitamins, eat a good meal, drink a lot of water, eat some good fruits and veggies and so on, after you do this to replenish the lost nutrients and H2O
- AND PROBABLY MOST IMPRTANTLY, swallow the Sub juice after letting it sit in your mouth. The naloxone in the Sub might be a huge contributing factor to why this helps. I usually spit the shit out because I don't want any naloxone inside me, but I'll swallow the saliva that has the Sub mixed in if I feel I need to drop a #2. This actually makes me wonder if just taking a vial of naloxone orally can do the same thing and not be an issue for you because it won't absorb enough to cause withdrawal, but does effect the gut opiate receptors when it goes through, so it relieves constipation, studies have been done on this. I actually plan to at some point get a vial of Naloxone and drink it and see if it helps me pass some stool. I am usuall somewhat backed up, but I will do the Sub thing every week or 2 and I can always pass some compacted stool on a daily basis so I am not horribly backed up, still not moving stool like I would like, but it is better than this OP's situation where he has been not moving anything for 21 days!!! I can't believe that, I go 2 days without a decent BM, like only little rock hard pieces, and I start to get worried and it makes me feel like crap (no pun intended).
As for the person who replied to my post, just want to note the magnesium oxide is the worst form in terms of absorption, so that is completely untrue. It is not the worst for constipation, but there are much better forms of Mg+ for constipation, I suggest magnesium citrate, its only a little more expensicve than oxide, has 5-6X the absorption, is easy to find at vitamin stores and has a few other benefits. And don't take that much magnesium of any sort, 1000-2000mg is crazy, you can get hypermagnesia, which is dangerous. I think DV of 100% of magnesium is around 375 mg, so that is way more than necessary...Usually 1 pill is 250 mg of magnesium, so don't take more than 2. Also take it with food for best absorption. Same goes for most vitamins/minerals, take with food and they will absorb better.
