I don't want to use opiates as anxiolytics, first off it's too expensive I don't have the money to pick up an addiction again and second I don't want to go through addiction again. I recently used again after months of being clean and it is a miracle drug, the only thing that makes me feel like a real person.

I have debilitating anxiety and depression to the point where i'm going to hurt myself if I don't do something about it soon. Any recommendation as to other related anxiolytics that would work on the same channels opiates do? I've tried SSRIS, benzos, kava kava all sorts of stuff with zero results.

Want to try therapy but can't afford it. To stress I can only do normal everyday stuff on opiates ex: just talking to somebody, this is not about opiate euphoria.

I'd second DiscoMonkey. Gabapentin worked great for me in combination with Depakote. What I thought was just anxiety ended up being a little bit more complicated. There are numerous options, but all of them involve an intelligent prescribing physician.
