Opiates are worthless with weed?

Is it just me or does marijuana overpower opiates like oxycodone and hydrocdone? When I was already coming down from weed before, and I took a good dose of hydrocodone that would've got me high, it didn't. That was when I was already just very tired from an indica dominant strain. Other times the weed just overpowered the opiates and I couldn't feel them. Does this happen for everyone? I think that opiate shouldn't be tainted with weed for this reason.
 
I mixed weed with hydrocodone once & I will never mix them again. For me, its a bad mix.....you either do opiates or weed, not both at the same time. I stopped smoking weed years ago so it wont matter anymore for me. Thing is, a lot of people like mixing them & they say weed makes the opiate high that much better.......I for one never saw it like that.

Im in the same boat, i stopped smoking weed 5 years ago but have to have just a little bit of weed to smoke after ive done some Oxy/Benzos to 'complete the high' =D
 
Strange... I'm a heavy marijuana smoker but I more or less quit smoking with opiates because I found it a waste of weed... If I smoke a half g of dope to my face, I don't care how much bud I smoke, I'm not gonna get any higher, but I have never felt the weed make the opiates go away... What are we talking about a "high dose" of hydrocodone? Because maybe you just have some killer bud, in which case I guess I could see it overtaking a small dose of hydrocodone... but everyone's "large and small dose" is different, so I really don't know what to tell you.
 
I haven't smoked marijuana for years, partly because I found opioids far superior and mostly because it started to just not feel good anymore. I also found that it didn't mix well with opioids, especially if I was stoned and then tried to use an opioid.
 
well I guess im in the minority here but id disagree 100%. One of my favorite combos actually. I always took the opis first then smoked so maybe that is the key. Idk everyone is different but I feel like the high is enhanced by weed. That warm feeling plus your mind is thinking weed thoughts.
 
If you're far too high from the marijuana, you're less likely to notice a subtle high like opiates, unless you're taking a dose that would make you higher than the weed would. Perception is reality, yea?

*This could be bollocks, but it makes sense to me...
 
I'm gonna agree with shimazu - taking some opiates before smoking always left me with an enjoyable high. Although perhaps the key is not taking either too much opiates or smoking too much pot - I can see how overdoing either could ruin the whole thing.
 
i don't know about weaker opioids, but h + weed is excellent for me. OP, have you tried it with hydro/oxymorphone'''

I completely agree too ha. I love smoking with opiates! It intensifies my opiate high while making my weed high even better. I find that weird that people wouldn't appreciate the two together

I would have to agree here with this ^. but anyway I perfer to not to do both, I like to savor my opiate high. And I seem to be losing interest in weed as time goes on.

Whenever I do opiates (and benzos) I always combine them with weed, for me the synergy effect is heaven. I guess it helps that I have a really high weed tolerance so when I do combine them the amount I vape/smoke would barely even get me buzzed by itself.

benzos + opiates + weeds is even better!!! though, it is NOT safe to combine these drugs. tread with caution guys!
