Opiates + Antihistamines

I always use benzos with opiates, yet in the past the opiate has not really hit hard or it may have even made me sick.

I do realise Benzos + Opiates potentiate each other (i have a high tolerance to both) and i also realise they can be a dangerous mix, but recently i was told to take 25mg promethazine about 30-45 minutes before i do the Opiates as it also potentiates and can add to the sedation and reduce nausea, ive also heard that the Promethazine can interfere with the Opiate high.

I usually use Oxycontin/Oxynorm but i have just recently discovered DIHYDROCODEINE (DHC) which are continuoius release 120mg tabs so i crush them into powder and swallow, last i as normal took some benzos and the Promethazine and then ingested 4x120mg (480mg) DHC tabs and felt quite good.

I read that codeine has a ceiling dose of around 400-500mg.... is the same true of Dihyrocodeine? if so what is the ceiling dose?

Also are there any other Antihistamines that work better than the Promethazine? and are also safe to add to the combo?

Promethazine is probably one of the more sedating ones, along with diphenydramine. In my opinion they are a lot better for getting rid of the sickness and itching than actually potentiating it - benzos are gonna be your best bet for that (just be VERY careful mixing the two)

Not sure if DHC has ceiling dose, hopefully someone else got the info.

DHC doesn't have the same metabolism as codeine so it doesn't have a ceiling - or at least not one at a level that is noticable for most people anyway.

Hydroxyzine is another sedating antihistamine that works well n my experience. Don't combine antihistamines, you'll end up delirious from the anticholinergic effects and that wouldn't be much fun..

Yeah thats what it was originally suggested to me for, to stop the itching and sickness when id taken Oxy.

Yet strangely im only ever sick of Opiates when i take them on there own.

If ive already taken Benzos im fine.

This is very good advice. A lot of people make "potentiation cocktails" (I'm one of them) but it's important to make sure you're not stacking antihistamines on top of each other, as the anticholinergic hell will quickly wash away any of the opiate euphoria.

It's all about balancing doses. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice guys n gals

390mg Temazepam ingested, now il wait a little while then ingest 25mg Promethazine then a little later eat around 100mg Oxynorm and my last 120mg Dihydrocodeine, soon after that a nice joint of weed.

As this forum is primarily for harm reduction purposes i do not recommend following my lead as i have a massive tolerance to Benzos and Opiates

Haha I was going to say, 390mg temazepam's a huge dose.. not to mention 100mg oxy + 120mg dhc. But I presume you know your tolerance
