Opiates and Sickness

I did a search on this seeing the *wonderful*
feature is back, and couldnt really find anything. I use opiates occassionally, mostly oxys and other pharms. well, no matter what mg. I take I get sick, Ive tried eating first, not eating, lower dosages, anything I can think of, but it always seems to make me incredibly nauseous, most of the time I end up puking. Its only opiates that do this, (never benzos)...and occassionally a good roll? Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions? thanks much

My guess is that you are just intolerant to opiates, nausea is a common side effect, but extreme bothersome effects to it probably mean intolerance or just a sensitive stomach and probably its just not your drug. have you tried taking OTC remedies, maybe Pepto Bismol? the only draw back is it may coat your stomach and inhibit the absorption I'm not 100% on that but it seems plausable. There are other medicatons you can take for nausea take a look and see if any work for you.
When you take opiates do you only take it oraly? Maybe you just need to take the drug by a different method (if it's active that way)
for example Oxy are you only taking them oraly, if so try a dosage by snorting it, maybe this will help by not first introducing the drug to the stomach, I'm not experienced with Oxys maybe someone else can give you a less intrusive way if you are against snorting it.
As for the other drugs it points more to a sensitive stomach or what your bodys natural effect to the drugs is. Try what I have said, if you have not done it already that is, and I'm sure others that are more versed in the art of obtaining pleasurable effects from drugs will have more information for you. In hospitals they give you Phenergan to stop the the nausea and vomiting........if you really like opiates but throw up from them find someone with migraines and ask to borrow some of their script.......(every doctor ive seen has given me way more then enough).
or eating with the pill may help you.

I second the phenergan motion , also if you take 50mg about 1/2 hour before the opiates you'll get higher, that's why recovering junkies at methadone clinics always know who sells phenergan (prometazine).

Opiates stimulate the vomit center of the brain when used, after a while you develope a tolerance to this effect as well as to the pleasure effects, other than directly reversing this activation you cant really stop it without another active drug, promethazine works perfectly as it is a dopamine antagonist and also an antihistamine, which both prevent vomiting, its a wonder drug of sorts for this kinda thing. It does have some effect on the high you get from narcotics but not a whole lot, hydro is intensified and oxy is as well i believe but i dont know about the rest of them, it does help codeine a lot.

Phenergan - works wonders, but if you're getting an IM injection, that shit burns with the fire of seven suns!
Some say loperamide helps too, but I have only found it to have value in helping ease the withdrawal ..
It's really just kinda somethingyou gotta endure - it should pass fairly quick, and yeah, you might throw up - but who care? You still have much opiated bliss ahead of you.. and yes, if you use frequently it will pass..

Sickness can go with the territory, but some people are more tolerant that others. I know kids that can consume copious amounts of chemicals, but give them 20mg of OC and they get real ill.
Thankfully, I don't seem to suffer from this problem.
