opiates and opioids, what's the difference? Codeine and Tramadol questions as well

just take half the dose of both u would normal do when you mix them and start from there, since they have nearly similar potency.
personally i dont like the combination of these two, only mix these when pot around or if you dont like beeing sedated by an opioid turn (ruines codeine for me)

In my opinion (I am NOT a professional so take this only with a grain of salt OP).

Tramadol has a lower risk of respitory dedression than codeine because its Mu-receptor agonism in totality (including metabolites of both medications) is lower. Theoretically, the codeine with a high dose of benzos would pose a greater risk of respitory depression.

However, with a very high dose of benzos, taking something like codeine or tramadol without doctor approval would be dangerous IMO. Good thing you are only asking for medical knowledge. I mean I'm prescribed a low dose of benzos with a moderate dose of Nucynta for medial nerve branch back issues and sometimes I worry about falling asleep and not waking up. My dose is low but still, its 2 depressants. Ive been on this combo for 2 years now (since Nucynta builds tolerance very slowly, I havent had to worry about asking my doctor to up the dose and I'm still ticking. ;)

^yeah, it's better to ask and learn than to be stupid and try it out for yourself, right?

do they make you sleepy? your tablets
