Hello all,
I know I am not alone when I say opiates cause me to become sensitive to annoying, agitating actions. Opiates also produce euphoric effects making me happier thus creating an overall good mood. These things may seem contradictory, but they both happen to me none-the-less.
For instance, if I am around someone who I already found to be overbearing it makes it ten times worse. There have been occasions where only one pestering acquaintance can irritate me so much (Let's say nonstop talking during Breaking Bad) to the point where my high is completely ruined and I actually become nauseous. Yeah, that's right. Opiate irritability can be so severe it actually makes me physically ill. I become more snappy and it ruins my mood.
Is there a scientific explanation for this?
Thanks.
