Opiates and Food

i especially like sweets on opiates. before i took opiates, i hadnt eaten sweets really since i was a kid

Well, I don't like eating until the end of my high because I feel that it kills my buzz when I eat. Of course, sometimes I munch so hard I can't help it.

This recent opiate binge has also been a junk food binge. Milk + Honeybuns or Sprite + sour candy. Also, cookie dough, ice cream or POPSICLES!!!

i love eating on oxycodone. i could never eat on heroin tho or else it would come right up.

yeah i like candy on opiates some-times. But overall if you using opiates FOR REAL then your appetite seems to diminish significantly.

I've been making poppy tea (from poppy straw) for about three years. Many people describe intense nausea from opium, especially in tea form, yet I find it gives me more hunger than cannabis. However, while on oxycodone, I find that I can't even really swallow food sometimes, let alone eat a meal.

IMO the food obsession comes from compulsion.
Opes are a compulsion drug. So, I figure they boost dopamine and them compulsion happens in everything.

when I first started with opiates they would make me hungry, but after I had a habit for awhile I found they took my appetite away except for the times when I'd take them after being in withdrawal.

Not really, I tend to lose my appetite ftmp. However about 4 hours in I always crave dark chocolate peanut butter cups. So good!
