In my opinion, Yes it's extremely normal....for most people I'd say the peak lasts about 2 hours though...for me and my "peers" it does I guess.but i think it really comes down to metabolizing....
I don't think enough people understand the strong effects that physical training have with potentiaiting drugs, the experience itself, the withdrawals from the drug, the depency to the drug...Every factor.
I know friends who can take 20 mg hydrocodone daily and still claim to "get high" for years but I'm actually on 55 mgs hydrocodone as I type this and my peak is very short-lived...whatever......i have friends who have done, and still do, 200 + mg oxycodone per week for years...
I actually had a best friend pass away 2 weeks ago as a result of poly-drug use, oxycontin most likely being a large contributing to his heart and fucking brain failure. Alcohol was also in the mix....
Be careful guys...It's a beautiful life...DON'T ABUSE IT.

I'd save the opiates for after the work out.
second650 said:Anyone in here use opiates to get a great workout? ive used vicodin, tramadol and even pod tea to get the most of my workouts. what are your thoughts people?
spaceyourbass said:Yes, I've used opiates to workout harder many a time. They help me push myself. I've never injured myself in the weight room or come close to it, even when on opiates. Usually, I choose reps over weight though, or find a happy medium. I can work out so much better this way. Then when I leave the gym, I get a good meal, and I feel like I did something productive with my drug use.
If you're completely dumb numb from an opiate and you try to max out, you have a good chance of fucking your body up.
Another thing I found out, I can run non freaking stop when taking opiates. I've been in two races (guess that's what you call 'em) in my life, about 6.5 miles each. Both times, I wasn't in great shape, but I took a Lortab before the run, and was able to out run my friends, who probably prepared a lot more. The second time I ran the race, I used opiates two times to train the week before the race. I got a damn good time that time.
I would say a good dosage for working out is half of what you'd take for recreation, as long as you don't take huge amounts for rec. purposes.
The other thing opiates are good for...fucking.
I would take 250 mg tramadol monday morning and 300 mg in the aftrenoon say 1:00 pm. the following days id take 50mg more than the previous day. friday thru sunday i drink pod tea. This routine worked fine for a bout a month but now i dont get the energy i used to get. whats going on?!hitomaro said:man it really didnt take you long at all. dont want to be a 'toldja so' but mixing drugs with anything productive never works.
tell us what you've been doing to get this tolerance of yours then we can advise accordingly ya?
my friend always wonders why i like vicodin so much. according to him it puts him in a bad mood. all the opiates i have tried give me a speedy rush and then hours later i feel mellow as hell....mikebobjohn said:it's weird that you get energy from opiates. they generall ymake people tired, relaxed, and unmotivated to do anything. when i take more oxycodone than i need for my pain (by accident) i just want to lie around and wawtch tv or listen to music.
