Opiates after bupren

As an opiate user, I try to limit my usage to keep my tolerance at a reasonable level. I usually take about 4 days off per week, using subutex (buprenorphine) to avoid withdrawal symptoms.

I have heard it is necessary to wait at least 24-36 hrs after taking subs before indulging in any opiates, as the blockers in burpren would hinder their effects otherwise.

But if I take, say only a quarter of an 8 mg sub (2 mg, which is more than enough for myself), would the required waiting time lessen proportionally (6-9 hrs instead of 24-36) or is the amount of bupren taken more or less inconsequential to the necessary duration of opiate abstinence?

Better to be safe than sorry. Wait the standard 24 hrs then dose your opiate/opioid for the maximum effect! :D

Why chance the effectiveness of your desired dose?

Lower doses don't take as long to clear your system but I would stay on the safe side and try to wait 12-24 hours at least.
