Ok so here's my story. I started out on real oc 60's, switched to multiples of ir's once oc switched to op, then moved to snorting h. The longest I've gone since late feb was 2 days. I finally went to the dr and requested to be put on suboxone, as I've taken it before (strip and pill) and know it works.
So eventually I get to the dr and he tells me that I'm not withdrawling hard enough and he won't give me any subs, and rescheduled me for a few days later.
In the meantime, I've been doing a little research of my own and found out a thing or two. Most importantly, my withdrawl symptoms come and go, which I've always known. What I did not know was that in most people it is constant. I have found one other friend whose symptoms come and go, and numerous friends who have constant symptoms. As of this moment, (wednesday, 2am), I have been clean since Saturday, around 2pm, when I had 2 methodones (don't know the dosage). Previous to that was Friday night around 8pm, 3 ir 30's. I always get the runny nose and diahrea constantly, but the sweating and chills, like I said, come and go. I'll have an attack for 2-3 hours and then it'll go away, only to return some time later. I'm actually starting to sweat right now, and my hands are clammy, so it's starting again (hurray).
Getting closer to the point (I promise). I am an avid stoner, been smoking consistently for the past 10 years or so. Upon contemplation, I noticed that (I work in a restaurant with a walk in cooler) I could never handle the cooler while withdrawling, unless I got high 30-60 minutes prior.
Does marijuana have an effect of lowering withdrawal symptoms?
How uncommon is it that my symptoms come and go as they please instead of remaining constant.
My worry is, that at my rescheduled appt, I am told that I am still not withdrawling and will not receive the subs I have been patiently waiting for for over a month. I already know if that happens I'm going to go find the line of brown that was already promised to me (no needles) and that's not the end goal.
As a side note, since I became actually hooked, I haven't gone longer than 2 days, as I said. My symptoms take, on average, a day and a half to show up. But I haven't been past 3 days in so long, I'm not sure what to expect anymore.
2nd side note, I started taking citalapram around 6 weeks ago, i dunno if that will have any effect.
Any help is appreciated
