So i had been taking about 100 to 150mg of oxycontin a couple times a week for about 2 months, and decided i'm done with the pill scene as of the sunday before last i quit takin pills, and was done to about 60 or 90mg of opiates a day. so To battle the horrible withdrawls, i got four 8mg suboxone from my buddy on monday of last week, i took one monday, one tuesday, then one Wednesday, skipped thursday, and the one last one on friday, so i have tooken any suboxen for about 6days, and i dont feel too bad, but i still have these small aches in my knees and sometime thighs, which its not too bad, very bearable, nothing compared to full on withdrawls, but I'm just wondering why i still even feel anything, and how mucher longer till i feel normal ? like i said, it just aches in my knees, i have no sweats, insomnia, runny nose, or any of that, thank god, so I should be feeling like any day now right ?

Suboxone (buprenorphine) is a partial u-opioid agonist.
It really shouldn't be used unless under the care of your physician. Because there are certain guidelines for each individual patient.

Quitting an opioid agonist and replacing with another can prolong your recovery.

Buprenorphine has a relatively long half-life, but I reading through your message, I think you are saying you haven't taken any in 6 days? The Sub, right?

100-150mg is a pretty steep oxycodone dose. Fortunately, 2 months isn't a long time and you also said you were taking them a few times a week and not every day. Hang in there. You should be feeling much better soon. Everyone is different and some people take a while to heal. If you think it is all bad now, just imagine if you used everyday and kept going for years. You do not want that.

yea I havent taken any suboxen since friday of last week, and like i said, i only took four 8mg all together, so its been 6, almost 7 days of no sub, and as of this sunday it will be two weeks of no oxy.....so I should be feeling fine like any time now right ?

I dont know what you consider normal. LOTS of it is mental. From wds to cravings. Some people with a pretty bad habit when they go to prison for example they barely feel the wds because other cr*p that is much more disconcerting is happening to them. In your case I would say if you had a daily 2 month habit it will take a bit more than a week for your brain/receptors to get back to normal and your mood to stabilize. Some say it takes half the time you were using to get back to completely normal but I do not really buy that. It also depends hugely on how you live, do you excercise, how you eat, do you use any other drugs etc.. But since you say you are almost ok already I really wouldnt worry about it, with each day you are going to feel better. I hope you stick with it, you have accomplished a lot by giving it up. good luck dude

even tho I only took 4 of them for less then a week ? I haven't tooken any subs since last friday, 7 days ago, I feel better today, but I'm scared its not over yet. This is retarded, why do we even start doing drugs, this was the worst decision ever made

from my experience u start feeling wds off subs after about 3-4 full days of being off. so u should be pretty set if u don't feel too bad. I remember when I got off dope and on subs I still had small leg cramps even on the sub that lasted a short period. alieve (sp? the pain killer) helped a lot.
