I'm doing a little study on withdrawal and if anyone can spend 2 mins helping me out I would be mega grateful. What I want to know is the order that withdrawal symptoms become apparent, so eg for me:

1 - Tearing eyes
2 - Yawning
3 - Runny Nose
4 - Muscle Aches/Restless Legs
5 - Stomach Cramps
6 - Diarrhea
7 - Vomiting

What I have noticed is that some people appear to get these in different orders and also with more or less symptoms displayed. Thanks to anyone that posts :)

for me, it goes (compounding on each other)

runny nose
diarrhea
body aches
insomnia/restless legs

i usually switch to poppy tea for a few days (from heroin) before withdrawing as it makes it less in your face but lasts longer.

This is an interesting thread. I have never paid attention to The order of the symptoms, but I definitely get all of the ones you listed. I will go through it again inevitably, and at that point I will post my experience :)

Honestly, the symptoms I get appear pretty much in the order you posted them, OP.

Except I have never experienced vomiting from opiate withdrawal for some reason. Maybe a slight bit of nausea here and there, but nothing ever comes of it. So for the last one, instead of vomiting I'm going to add depression, moderate to severe.

1. sore muscles
2. yawning (!!!)
3. agitation
4. diarrhea

I never got runny nose or tearing.

DOC = Oxycodone

The symptoms usually started about 12-16 hours after last dose if I was having trouble scoring or if my schedule didn't permit it.

I'm clean now and at my peak (~800mg per day) my doctor said to me, "your body is in withdrawal 24 hours a day". He was right. I wasn't close to getting high. I wasn't close to feeling anything.

bit off topic but has anyone else experienced a major increase in withdrawal symptoms immediately before using your DOC, i seem to feel more in withdrawal if I know I will be shortly shooting up.. curious

Cannot sleep when I run out of my meds the first night
Get out of bed tired and sore
Runny nose
Get the poops
( by now I am looking everywhere to see if I can find any pills I have prob hidden)
Chills

MIne was hydrocodone back in the day but then a w/d of Methadone. It was similar but the order didnt change:

2 - Tearing eyes
3 - Yawning
0 - Runny Nose
1 - Muscle Aches/Restless Legs
0 - Stomach Cramps
4 - Diarrhea- 1 day
0 - Vomiting
The zeros mean I didn't experience it- maybe I'm not the norm but the RLS and PAWS lasted a long ass time.

Yeah, I experience the exact same thing. After being in excruciating withdrawal for a few days, when I am finally en route to getting dope the symptoms seem intensified by a million. I become incredibly more irritable, a temper that is usually nonexistent rears its ugly head and I feel maybe the shittiest during the whole WD period. So strange.

DOC IV heroin
1.feel tired
2.yawning and watering eyes
3.Pain in lower back
4.start feeling restless
5.feel extremely cold
6.Pain moves to legs along with increased restlessness
7all the symptoms above at the same time causes me to wish for death.

Interesting. My DOC is oxycodone. For me the symptoms appear as follows....
1. Feel a cold clammy sweat
2. Feel aching pain in my legs/RLS
3. Feel sore all over
4. Diarrhea
5. Insomnia
