Opiate Withdrawal Questions! need help!

So I need help, I kick a 2 year opiate habit just recently (kind of) I was using hydeocodone 7.5 mg generally and would take anywhere from 6-8 pills in a day. I just recently quit on April 4th around midnight I took my last pill and I quit cold turkey and stayed clean for 6 full days but on the 11th of April I took one pill at night to sleep (5 mg), I took one pill the last four nights in a row. So I've only taken 5mg once at night after being clean for 6 full days so I'm wondering if I stopped now, would I go through the hell I went through all over again with withdrawals? Will it be like starting on day 1? I'm hopeful not, since I'm using considerably less.

Please let me know your thoughts! I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm so sick of opiates controlling my life.

Thank you!

i would tapper ( like dissolve the pills in a bit of water so you can divide the doses easier) but that is just me. I have noticed that when i tapper with loperamide that if I take even one percosett i have to go back to the start of the lope tapper. ( i am on pain meds for my hip but the damn tylonol in the pills makes my feet swell 3 shoe sizes bigger. so, I occasionally switch to lope to give my body a break).

Don't take any more pills if your goal is to get clean - period. Hydrocodone won't put you through terrible withdrawals. You may experience some muscle cramping, lethargy, and the Hershey squirts. Buy some Imodium and a multivitamin and you should be fine. You have to pay to play - expect to feel like crap for 3-4 days and expect to be lazy for 7-14.

Hi Kayla, I think you might have messed up your progress but you didn't say if you have ever been through withdrawals before this time. I think your symptoms should be minimal and like Jeff said, don't take any more opiates if your goal is to get clean. The more you go back and forth with using and not using, I've found it tends get worse when you try to go without them.

You're having withdrawal from hydrocodone? You're out of it. Hydrocodone doesn't have a withdrawal that lasts more than 2 or 3 days. Maybe there's something else wrong with you..better to get checked out by the doctor before it's too late

-good luck

gorum,
I hope this is not seen as thread hijacking but to validate Kayla's experience let me say:
once the dang pharmacy couldn't get my pills for a week ( lived in a very small gated community in the mountains. So there was only one pharmacy) And yes I went through hell and a half from hydrocodiene. Gave new meaning to the words "suck it up, solider" So, yes it's possible. It was only 4 days of hell though.
