Opiate WD... Just took 40mg Melatonin and don't even feel it...

Here I am trying to quit again... I have been trying every week for almost 4 months but always end up relapsing because I'm so weak :( so I just took 400mg kava kava and 40mg Melatonin and I don't even feel it... My legs are still kicking and my back is killing me. Can I take more Melatonin? Is it safe? Is it gonna help me sleep? Thank you in advance for helping me, I really need this! :(
 
It's not going to do much if anything at all. Have you tried taking a hot bath or shower? Have you tried running? If you can get out and go to a pharmacy like CVS and buy some Tiger Balm, that helps a lot with RLS and is OTC. Taking more melatonin won't help. Therapeutic doses are much, much lower than 40+mg.

From the sound of your symptoms I don't think melatonin is going to help you sleep very much. I have heard good things about kava kava though I haven't ever tried it. Take some ibprofun and or Tylenol I suggest taking them together for maximum effectiveness. They will help the back pain a little. for the RLS I suggest taking a little bit of loperamide 6-8mg every 12 hours will lessen the intensity of those feelings without prolonging your kick too much. Obviously any kind of benzo will help as will clonidine and gabapentin if you can get a script or find them on the street. But really the best prescription is time and hot baths.

Just as a heads up, with melatonin usually goes with the less is more affect. I recommend the 1mg or the 300mcg dose. Some quality valerian root would be nice to throw in with it too. Remember though, it's lights out and lay down right when you take it.

Have you tried tonic water or bannas? They're good for restless legs.

And you're not weak you can do this. We're right behind you if you need it.

Thanks guys... My fiancee gave me 2mg suboxone and I still feel sick, I'll wait another hour and see if I can get any sleep. I'm scared of getting sicker though, this happened to me before and it wasn't fun. Thank you all so much for the replies... If I don't feel better I'll go to CVS and get Tiger Balm and Tylenol.
 
What a night! 8( I ended up smoking weed (I hate weed but this time I actually enjoyed it) and slept for 5 hours! Waking up every 30 min because I was kicking/punching my fiancee... lol I smoked 5 times during the night and it really really helped me. Today is day 2 and I feel better, still feel like crap but better than yesterday. Took 2mg Suboxone again at 4:30am and it didn't really help, but it's better than nothing. Having to be up at 5:30am and drive to work really sucks, thank God it's Friday! We have a party later on and I'm pretty sure everyone will be doing dope so I'm thinking if I should go or just stay home and suffer another night... I will stop at the store later and get tonic water, bananas and Ibuprofen. Thanks again guys for the support
 
I would steer clear of going to a party in which active use will be present. It may trigger you. Your best bet is to just stay home and treat the symptoms as they come up.

Keep up the good work. Pot can be very helpful in withdrawal. I might also suggest getting some kratom to help with the worst of withdrawal. It is going to take a few days of taking 2mg of bupe for it to build up in your body enough to stave off withdrawal. I also wanted to say be wary of bupe. It is really tough to kick, so stay on as low a dose as possible for as short a time as possible.

Just remember that these feelings are momentary and you will feel so much better soon.
