In my mind. The choices are many, the consequences
Other than 1 dose of 30 mgs oxycodone I haven't had opiates for almost 4 weeks. I've had Tramadol but nothing "good". Anyway, is it possible to just now start going thru WD? I won't go into the symptoms, as some are quite gross, but after usin google it seems all my symptoms are from WD. Is this possible?

IME tram just holds opiate w/d off..since it works on the same receptors...so if you've stopped the tram, the opiate w/d will now start.
Also, tramadol has some horrible w/d too. It's like w/d'ing from an anti-depressant and an opiate at the same time.
Have you been taking the tramadol consistently for 4 weeks?

Don't know if this helps any..you probably knew this stuff already..
but hope you're feeling better soon.

Its definitely not from the oxy...

Though if you've been taking tramadol this entire time, theres your answer: tramadol withdrawals. I personally have never w/d from tramadol but having read what people on here say about the W/D, its like opiate W/D except with some extra SSRI fun thrown in.

If you haven't been taking tramadol enough to give you w/d then I'm just gonna say that youre sick and its in no way, shape, or form, related to withdrawals.

People always obsess about withdrawals and their mind builds it up. I think this thread is the PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THIS! The fact that the OP is worried 4 weeks later about whether or not hes withdrawing from oxy shows just how much we build it up in our minds and obsess over it.

On and off for the past 4 wks I have been takin Tram. Maybe that's whar's happenin bc I quit them about a day or two ago.
I have diazepam and gabapentin. I heard those help. I'm thankfully not having anxiety symptoms but havin all the physical ones. Ugh, I hope this passes quickly!

diaz and neurontin will help a lot if it's tramadol w/d..

Or DoodMood is right..maybe you're sick and it will all be over very, very soon.
Hope you're better soon, either way!

Seeker,
I bet with that dose of Oxy you were on, that tram could've helped much at all.
Besides, it doesn't work one bit for some people, and for others it's a gift from God during w/d.
Kind of like Kratom..doesn't work for some, but it's a great help for others.
I've been through w/d from several different opiates..I'm glad you're sleeping..that does make a little difference.
Best of luck to you.

I think I'm a pretty smart girl...I don't feel like I build up withdrawl in my head...I just think it's hell.

Tramadol has Horrible withdrawals I have withdrawn off of many medications and tramadol was always the worst.. worse than Buph.. worse than.. just worse.. and now there is evidence that tramadol withdrawal can be dangerous and possibly cause seizures.. smh..

I think Tramadol is so strange..I know everyone's body chemistry is different,
but there's such a divide over it.
It works great for some people..other's think it's just a waste of money.
Some people like me, w/d hard from it..and I've read where others can take it for
a year or two..stop CT and notice no symptoms at all.
I would like to be one of those who felt no symptoms..
I didn't know w/d could cause seizures, just knew taking too much of it could.
The anti-depressant like symptoms are the worst for me...I'm a baby sometimes..
